Job Description We are looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our growing team. The Childcare Compliance Assistant provides essential support to Horizon Education Centers locations, focusing on licensing and grant management and data analysis to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations. This role requires previous childcare experience; organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with necessary travel within the service area. Responsibilities and Duties * Complete scheduled site visits, classroom observations, and generate detailed reports. * Support the Compliance Coordinator and Senior Education Services Coordinator to ensure full adherence to DCY (Department of Children and Youth) and all other government regulations, grant requirements, and contract specifications. * Assist in monitoring and tracking DCY compliance reports. * Aid in monitoring grant requirements, collecting necessary data, and performing data analysis to guarantee compliance. * Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding personnel and family information. * Perform all other assigned duties as needed to support the compliance team. Qualifications * Education: * Requires an Associate's Degree or CDA (Child Development Associate) in Education or a related field. * Bachelor's Degree in Education, Leadership, or Administration is preferred. * Experience: Required experience in childcare, after-school, or early education settings. * Knowledge: Knowledge of DCY and other government regulatory requirements. * Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. Strong data entry skills are essential. Experience in data collection and data analysis for improvement is a plus. * Core Skills: * Strong detail-oriented, organizational, and time management skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to multitask and work independently and collaboratively on a team. * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to build positive internal and external relationships. * Must be willing to update job knowledge through required training, DCY licensing rules, SUTQ professional development, and industry trends. * Must pass all required background checks and physical/medical screenings.
