Job DescriptionOMB NO: 1625-0120 Expiration Date: 01/30/2025 Announcement: 6564 Opening Date: 08 December 2025 Pay Plan/Series/Pay Band: NA-6907-05 Closing Date: 22 December 2025 Work Schedule: Full-Time (30-40 hrs/wk) Position: Warehouse Worker 05 Salary: $20.29/hour Who May Apply: All Sources Location: Cleveland, OH- Exchange DUTIES: Responsible for performing a full range of warehouse functions in either a major segment of a large warehouse or as the principal materials handler in a smaller warehouse. Receives, locates, stores, ships, and warehouses merchandise in accordance with established procedures and operating requirements. Works with high degree of independence in determining sequences of loading and unloading, developing space utilization plans, and implementing movement of materials. Performs data entry into inventory control system. May provide guidance to lower level workers. Lays out storage space, establishing item locations, determining organization and arrangement of merchandise, and identifying high and low usage. Operates vehicles such as cherry pickers, forklifts, etc. Performs housekeeping tasks such as cleaning floors, fixtures, etc., as needed in the areas assigned. Assists in the taking of inventories at required intervals. Duties may also include minor maintenance and miscellaneous duties in order to ensure the facility is maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Welcome customers and maintain product knowledge. React to all concerns of customers quickly. Communicate information regarding product availability. Uphold predefined customer services standards. Comply with established safety standards, emergency preparedness requirements and all policies regarding loss prevention. Be aware and proactive regarding shrink. Other duties as assigned. Please see additional information on how your application is evaluated. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum: • Must be able to read and comprehend English and write legibly. Must be able to apply basic math skills., • Must be able to operate computer, • Must be able to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions, frequently lift and carry supplies, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., • Must be qualified to operate a forklift and/or become certified within year of hire date. If there is no current certification provided at time of application submission, incumbent will be considered a warehouse worker NA04 at that specific rate and will transition into a warehouse worker 05 once certified. If certification is not established further review will be required.
