Job Description The Opportunity: The IET Pathways Manager + Lead GED Instructor is a dual-impact role responsible for delivering high-quality GED instruction while also leading the design, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Skilled US’s Integrated Education and Training (IET) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. This position plays a critical role in building student momentum from GED attainment into credential pathways and employment. The ideal candidate is an experienced adult educator and program builder who can balance classroom instruction with program development, quality assurance, and cross-team coordination. Core Responsibilities: GED Instruction: • I DO (direct instruction and modeling), • WE DO (guided practice and collaborative learning), • YOU DO (independent practice and skill mastery), • Provide engaging, standards-aligned GED instruction to adult learners in morning classes, supporting measurable academic progress and credential attainment., • Differentiate instruction for varied learning levels, including students with learning gaps, interrupted education histories, or low academic confidence., • Use student-centered strategies to increase persistence, attendance, and completion (e.g., goal setting, learning plans, motivational coaching)., • Track student progress through assessments, coursework completion, and testing readiness benchmarks., • Collaborate with success coaches and the intake team to support attendance recovery and barrier reduction.GED Boot Camps & Accelerations Strategy:, • Plan, schedule, and lead GED Boot Camps and targeted acceleration sessions designed to move students quickly toward test readiness and credential completion., • Develop structured short-term learning plans (2–4 week boosts) for students close to passing or needing focused content recovery., • Coordinate boot camp logistics including staffing, curriculum pacing, materials, testing schedules, and student outreach/follow-up., • Support a culture of urgency and achievement by using clear progress tracking and milestone celebrations.IET Program Design, Monitoring & Quality:, • Lead the creation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Integrated Education and Training (IET) models that align adult education instruction with workforce development credential pathways., • Support the design of bridge programming that connects GED/ELL learners into training programs (e.g., contextualized math, workplace literacy, employability skills)., • Develop and maintain IET standards, templates, schedules, and documentation to ensure programs meet compliance requirements and are audit-ready., • Monitor performance indicators for IET programming such as enrollment, persistence, skill gains, credential attainment, and transition to training., • Collaborate with workforce instructors to align IET instruction to real training demands and industry expectations.CTE Program Development & Oversight:, • Oversee the planning and development of career pathway programming that meets workforce needs and supports adult learner success., • Coordinate with training partners and internal instructors to ensure CTE programs are well-structured, outcomes-based, and consistent across cohorts., • Support continuous improvement by reviewing cohort data, participant feedback, completion trends, and operational performance., • Work with the Director/Operations team to ensure staffing, facilities, and learning materials are aligned for successful delivery.Cross-Team Collaboration & Compliance Support:, • Collaborate with program leadership, instructors, success coaches, and the employment team to ensure strong student transitions from education to training and employment., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Skilled US systems (Salesforce, LMS platforms, testing portals)., • Support program compliance, monitoring readiness, and reporting requirements tied to funding and outcomes (WIOA, grants, etc.), • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (Education, Social Work, Adult Learning, or related field)., • 2+ years of experience teaching adult learners, preferably GED instruction or adult basic education., • Demonstrated experience designing or managing education/training programming (IET and/or CTE preferred).., • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional planning, and differentiated teaching strategies.., • Experience using assessment data to drive instruction and student progress monitoring., • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines., • Proficiency with education and data systems (LMS platforms, Google/Microsoft tools); Salesforce or CRM experience strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with WIOA Title II adult education, IET compliance requirements, or similar grant-funded program structures., • Experience developing pathway programs with workforce partners (construction, healthcare, manufacturing, IT, etc.)., • Familiarity with Essential Education, Burlington English, TABE, WorkKeys, or similar tools., • Experience leading boot camps, accelerated learning models, or adult education retention strategies.
