    Purpose: In order to ensure families have support, knowledge, and advocacy skills, Family Support Partners are the core of the Family Support Organization, providing support, education, and advocacy for primary caregivers parenting children and youth with emotional, developmental, mental, behavioral, and substance abuse needs. Duties: Support • Support the development of the Child-Family Team through engagement of informal and natural supports, • Demonstrate empathy and compassion through active listening to families’ needs, • Provide information on the System of Care and parenting a child with needs, • Engage CMO, families, and youth in learning about FSO services and supports, including Youth Partnership, • Model advocacy skills for families within the Child-Family Team and other meetings, • Develop the advocacy skills of families by providing resources and preparation for meetings Skills: Personal experience as a parent/caregiver of a child or youth with behavioral health needs Demonstrate success navigating New Jersey’s child-serving systems Must have excellent interpersonal skills Familiarity with local and county networking and strategic partnerships is encouraged Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license with an excellent driving record and reliable transportation Hours: Generally M-F 9-5, must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Must be on call from 8 AM-8 PM M-F Status: Full-time/Part-time, hourly employee

Brooklyn RISE is a small school serving 380 students K-7, and we are growing by one grade level each year until we are a fully enrolled K-8 charter school of 430 students in SY2026. We are expanding our team of passionate, adaptive, and detail-oriented educators united behind our mission – building the knowledge, skills, and mindsets for academic success, ensuring all of our students are on the path to college. ob Summary The Kindergarten Teacher position is a full-time co-teaching position. All Brooklyn RISE teachers are responsible for intellectual preparation for each lesson, building strong and positive relationships with students and families, using data to tailor their instruction, and actively engaging in collaboration with their colleagues. Essential Functions • Execute daily lesson plans for all assigned blocks (mix of lead teaching and supporting), • Implement all Brooklyn RISE routines and procedures with fidelity, • Complete weekly lesson annotations to ensure high quality instruction, • Actively participate in all professional development sessions and weekly coaching sessions, • Incorporate feedback from coaches in a timely manner, • Communicate weekly with families and other key stakeholders, • Provide students with frequent and accurate behavioral and academic feedback, • Identify students who are academically at risk and initiate effective intervention strategies, • Consistently analyze student data and engage in self-reflection on practices, • Complete all duties, posts and tasks as assigned Competencies • Commitment to uphold and execute upon the mission of Brooklyn RISE., • Unwavering, high expectations for all students, with a belief that all children deserve access to a college education, • Clear and effective communication skills for diverse audiences including students, staff, families, and the local community., • Solutions-focused style that encourages teamwork and collaboration to support the development students., • Willingness to foster creativity and innovation with enthusiasm for work, and ability to motivate and unite others in the work., • Persistence in the face of obstacles, productive problem-solving to counter setbacks, initiative to seize opportunities to make change and solicit feedback., • Belief in student empowerment and willingness to allow students to play an active role in supporting the school’s vision and climate., • Commitment to results-driven approach, with strong ability to analyze data and use it to inform decision-making., • Ability to reflect on how to improve, self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, willingness to take responsibility for actions and mistakes. Job Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred., • Minimum two years of teaching preferred., • New York State teacher license/certification preferred., • Dual certification in Special Education or TESOL preferred, • Successful classroom manager who has used structure, incentives, and high expectations to drive student success., • Experienced classroom teacher with demonstrated quantifiable and objective student performance gains that surpass state or local averages., • Ability to work with a variety of learning abilities, including those with special needs and low skill level in an inclusive classroom setting., • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, especially with parents and community members.
