Production Lead / Senior Manufacturing Technician – Dietary Supplements Company: Silicon Valley Life Sciences Group (SVLSG) Location: Sunnyvale, CA Job Type: Full-time, On-site Compensation: $30–$45/hour, depending on experience About SVLSG Silicon Valley Life Sciences Group LLC is a growing U.S.-based dietary supplement contract manufacturer located in Sunnyvale, California. We focus on capsules, tablets, powders, packaging, and future expansion into additional dosage forms. Our goal is to combine practical manufacturing capability with strong compliance, reliable documentation, and high-quality production standards. Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Production Lead / Senior Manufacturing Technician who can help manage and operate our supplement manufacturing production floor. This role is ideal for someone with direct experience in dietary supplement, nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. The right candidate should be able to operate and troubleshoot equipment, understand raw materials and production behavior, follow GMP requirements, and help train production assistants. We are especially interested in someone who can grow into a production leadership role as the company scales. Key Responsibilities • Operate and help manage capsule filling, tablet compression, powder blending/mixing, tablet coating, and packaging operations, • Set up, adjust, clean, and troubleshoot production equipment, • Support production of capsules, tablets, powders, and packaged finished products, • Review raw material characteristics such as particle size, density, flowability, moisture sensitivity, and compatibility, • Help adjust manufacturing processes based on ingredient behavior, formulation requirements, and equipment performance, • Support weighing, dispensing, blending, granulation or pre-mixing steps as applicable, • Monitor in-process quality, including fill weight, tablet hardness, friability, appearance, coating quality, and packaging accuracy, • Complete batch production records, equipment logs, cleaning records, and other GMP documentation, • Follow SOPs, line clearance procedures, sanitation requirements, and material handling procedures, • Train and supervise junior production assistants or general labor staff, • Work with management, quality, and compliance consultants to improve SOPs, batch records, and production workflows, • Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inspection-ready manufacturing environment Required Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food, pharmaceutical, or related production, • Direct experience with at least two of the following: capsule filling, tablet press/compression, powder blending, coating, packaging, labeling, or filling equipment, • Understanding of GMP, cGMP, SOPs, batch records, cleaning records, and production documentation, • Ability to troubleshoot common production issues such as poor powder flow, weight variation, sticking, capping, segregation, moisture issues, or packaging errors, • Comfortable working hands-on with machines and production staff, • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow documentation requirements, • Able to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment, • Reliable, practical, organized, and willing to help build systems in a growing company Preferred Qualifications • Experience with dietary supplement manufacturing under 21 CFR Part 111, • Experience preparing for GMP, NSF, FDA, CDPH, or customer audits, • Experience with Master Manufacturing Records, Batch Production Records, deviation documentation, and corrective actions, • Knowledge of excipients, binders, lubricants, disintegrants, flow agents, coating materials, botanical extracts, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and functional ingredients, • Prior production lead, line lead, supervisor, or manufacturing manager experience is a strong plus Compensation $30–$45/hour, depending on experience.
