Job Description Summary The Senior Manager, Growth Marketing, owns the full paid acquisition and conversion engine at Palo Alto Software. This role is accountable for driving measurable revenue growth and customer acquisition across all paid channels — including search, social, and programmatic — while also leading affiliate and influencer partnerships, managing conversion rate optimization (CRO) on the website, executing seasonal promotions, and running win-back campaigns to re-engage lapsed customers. This is a high-ownership, data-driven role that sits at the intersection of performance marketing, experimentation, and customer lifecycle strategy. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and hands-on execution ability — comfortable operating a paid media budget and agency relationship one moment, designing a win-back email sequence the next. You will work closely with the content marketing team to align acquisition and conversion efforts across the funnel. What Success Looks Like • Revenue and acquisition targets are met or exceeded. Paid channels, affiliate programs, and win-back campaigns collectively deliver against quarterly targets for new and re-acquired customer growth., • A culture of rigorous experimentation is in place. A/B tests and landing page experiments are running continuously, and insights are systematically fed back into the campaign and creative strategy., • The website converts. CRO efforts result in measurable improvements to trial-start rates, checkout completion, and overall on-site conversion across key funnels., • Paid media spend is efficient and accountable. Channels are optimized toward blended CAC and ROAS targets; the agency relationship is actively managed and held to clear performance standards., • Seasonal promotions are strategically planned and operationally tight. Sales and discount campaigns are executed on time, on message, and measured against defined lift goals., • Win-back is a reliable revenue channel. Lapsed customer re-engagement campaigns are segmented, personalized, and generating consistent re-acquisition revenue. Adaptability and willingness to take on whatever is needed are essential. Paid Media Management • Own strategy and performance across all paid acquisition channels, including Google (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta, Reddit, and emerging platforms., • Manage the relationship with our paid search/advertising agency — set goals, review performance, provide creative direction, and hold the agency accountable to agreed-upon KPIs., • Collaborate with internal graphic design, video, and engineering resources to develop and iterate on paid creative; brief, review, and test new creative concepts on an ongoing basis., • Define audience and targeting strategy for prospecting, retargeting, and lookalike campaigns., • Monitor channel-level performance daily and weekly; adjust bidding, budgets, and creative in response to performance signals., • Own paid media budget allocation and maintain a clear view of blended CAC, ROAS, and LTV:CAC by channel. 2. Partner, Affiliate & Influencer Programs • Manage and develop the Partner & Affiliate Marketing Manager, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight., • Set program-level goals for affiliate, partner, and influencer channels; review performance against targets and identify growth opportunities., • Ensure partner content and messaging align with brand standards and seasonal campaign priorities. 3. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) • Own CRO strategy across the LivePlan website, including landing pages, trial flows, pricing pages, and checkout., • Design and run A/B and multivariate tests; maintain a prioritized experimentation roadmap informed by analytics, user research, and competitive benchmarking., • Work closely with design and content to implement and iterate on winning variants., • Track and report on core conversion metrics: trial-start rate, activation rate, checkout completion, and average order value. 4. Promotional & Seasonal Campaign Planning • Lead planning and execution of seasonal sales events, discount campaigns, and limited-time offers., • Develop promotional strategy (offer structure, timing, channel mix, messaging) and coordinate across paid, email, and on-site touchpoints., • Analyze promotion performance post-campaign and apply learnings to future planning. 5. Win-Back & Lapsed Customer Re-Engagement • Own the strategy and execution of re-acquisition campaigns targeting lapsed and churned customers, one of our highest-value growth channels., • Develop segmented win-back audiences based on customer behavior, tenure, and product usage; personalize messaging accordingly., • Partner with the content and email teams to build and optimize win-back sequences across email and paid retargeting., • Track re-activation rates, re-acquired revenue, and payback period; continuously refine based on results. 6. Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement • Build and maintain dashboards that give the marketing team and leadership a clear, real-time view of growth channel performance., • Deliver regular performance summaries that are both digestible for non-technical stakeholders and actionable for the team., • Deep, hands-on experience managing paid search and paid social campaigns across Google, Meta, and similar platforms — including agency management, audience strategy, creative testing, and budget management., • Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing and how paid acquisition, CRO, and lifecycle marketing work together to drive growth., • Experience managing external agencies: setting clear expectations, reviewing performance, and driving accountability., • A data-driven mindset with strong analytical ability — comfortable pulling and interpreting data from multiple sources to identify trends and make decisions., • Proven track record running A/B tests and landing page experiments with documented results., • Experience with win-back, re-engagement, or lifecycle email campaigns., • Ability to write clear, compelling briefs for creative and copy teams; strong written communication skills overall., • Collaborative and low-ego working style — this is a small team, and everyone pitches in., • Self-directed and organized; able to manage multiple channels and projects simultaneously without dropping balls., • An AI-forward mentality. You are actively using new AI tools and experimenting with AI automation to streamline and enhance the work that you do, • Experience marketing a SaaS or software product, particularly one with a self-serve or e-commerce purchase flow., • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Hubspot) for lifecycle and win-back campaigns., • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field., • 6+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, with significant time spent managing paid media budgets at scale., • Experience managing or mentoring direct reports., • Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Amplitude, Looker Studio / Data Studio, or similar).
