Main areas of focus: Post Production, Content Creation Location: The Experience Lab; Franklin, TN Term: June – August 2026 (exact dates flexible) Hours: 3 days/week (24 hours/week total) Eligibility: At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States without the need of company sponsorship now or in the future. JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Associate Director of Production, you will spend the summer learning the ins and outs of how a mission-driven brand creates video and visual content for internal and external use. You’ll work closely with our Creative team, primarily to support video production alongside our Videographer and Editor. In addition, you will be responsible for helping the organization curate and catalog its extensive inventory of digital assets. Along the way, you’ll get exposure to scheduling, copywriting, content brainstorming, field production, and design work. This is a hands-on learning role designed to give you real experience in post production and prepare you for a career in the field. YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR… • Assisting ongoing Creative edit projects, in conjunction with the Videographer, including: media management, searching for BRoll and music, color grading, and other post production duties, • Assisting on field shoots, when appropriate, • Archiving, indexing, and tagging existing charity: water archival video assets, • Supporting our overall content strategy through brainstorms and helping organize content, • Exploring how AI tools like Claude can improve and speed up our social and content workflows — bringing back ideas the team can adopt YOU MUST HAVE… • A degree in progress - or recently completed - in media production, journalism, communications, or a similar field, • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects, • Hands-on experience editing short-form video, • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, • A willingness to get your hands dirty and assist on adhoc projects that need help, • A curious, coachable learner — you ask questions, take feedback well, and aren’t afraid to try new things, • Availability to work 3 days/week (24 hours total) consistently across the full term (June 1 – August 28, 2026) IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE… • Prior internship, freelance, or personal-account editing experience, • Field production experience, • Demonstrated writing ability, • Familiarity with Claude (or other AI assistants) and an interest in using them to improve everyday workflows, • A genuine connection to charity: water’s mission or experience in the nonprofit / cause-driven space YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF... • Curiosity — you stay abreast of the latest techniques and tools in post production., • Adaptability — the social media landscape moves fast and you roll with it — picking up new tools, taking feedback, and adjusting your approach as priorities shift., • Creative Judgment — you can tell the difference between a technique that fits charity: water and one that doesn’t., • Precision — you treat the production calendar, brand voice, and visual standards as non-negotiables., • Collaboration — you work well across the Creative team and know how to take input without losing momentum. TEAM OVERVIEW The Creative team is responsible for ideating and producing content that supports charity: water’s mission of solving the global water crisis. We create media for internal and external use, and support all departments, including Marketing and Growth, Brand Partnerships, Key Relationships, and Product.
