Job Description JOB OVERVIEW The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming, clean, and well-stocked breakfast experience for all guests. As the “face” of the breakfast hall, this role plays a critical part in guest satisfaction by delivering friendly service, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the breakfast area is consistently clean, organized, and inviting. The ideal candidate is attentive, hospitable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding brand standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure all breakfast items are adequately stocked throughout service hours, • Prepare, handle, and present food and beverage items in accordance with approved recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines, • Maintain consistent quality and appearance of all food and beverage offerings, • Assist with food preparation tasks as required, • Greet all guests entering the breakfast area in a professional, welcoming manner, maintaining a courteous and attentive presence at all times, • Monitor the breakfast area continuously to anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs and requests, • Provide consistent, high-quality customer service in alignment with brand standards, • Observe and document guest feedback and communicate relevant information to management in a timely manner, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast hall, service stations, seating areas, and beverage stations throughout the shift, • Promptly address spills, debris, or safety hazards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff, • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of the breakfast area upon completion of service, • Ensure that back-of-house areas, including kitchens and storage spaces, are maintained to the same or higher cleanliness standards as front-of-house areas, • Comply fully with all local health codes, safety regulations, and hotel sanitation policies, • Follow all food safety procedures and maintain proper personal hygiene at all times, • Monitor and document food expiration dates and immediately report any concerns to management, • Verify that all refrigeration and freezer units are operating at required temperatures, • Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures at the beginning and end of each shift and report any irregularities without delay, • Maintain accurate inventory awareness and submit lists of low or depleted items to management, • Receive vendor deliveries and ensure proper storage, rotation, and organization of products, • Prepare and stage food items and supplies for the following day’s breakfast service, • Perform other duties as assigned by Management QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related role preferred Required Skills/Abilities • Strong customer service and communication skills., • Ability to multitask and remain attentive in a fast-paced environment, • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Schedule The work schedule is based on the demands of the business you must be available days, nights, weekends, and/or holiday availability are required. Physical, Mental and Environmental & Technical Demands Fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist in the work area. Must be able to maneuver around property. Must be able to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and copier. Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment. Grooming All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as part of the orientation process.
