Position Description – What the Role Entails: Rincon Family Services and its affiliate organizations are seeking a Web & Social Media Manager to lead and manage the organization’s digital presence. This position is part of the Office of the President & CEO and reports directly to the Chief of Engagement and Communications Officer, working closely with executive leadership to advance the organization’s mission through strategic digital communication. This role is responsible for maintaining websites and overseeing all social media platforms to ensure content is accurate, engaging, accessible, and aligned with the mission, values, and strategic communications goals of The Center and its affiliates. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, technically skilled, and has a strong understanding of current social media trends, as well as proven experience in storytelling for nonprofit organizations. Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing: • Manage, update, and maintain the websites of The Center and its affiliate organizations, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and consistency with brand standards., • Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube, leveraging current trends and best practices to maximize reach and engagement., • Develop compelling, mission-driven digital storytelling that highlights the impact of programs, services, clients, and community partners., • Write, edit, and adapt clear, engaging, and culturally responsive content in both English and Spanish., • Collaborate with program, communications, and leadership teams to develop digital campaigns promoting services, programs, events, and community resources., • Coordinate with designers, photographers, and videographers to ensure timely delivery of visual and multimedia content., • Monitor website and social media performance using analytics tools, providing insights, reports, and strategic recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and storytelling impact., • Ensure all digital content meets accessibility best practices (ADA compliance, captions, alt text, plain language)., • Manage internal communication channels for The Center and its affiliate organizations, ensuring consistent messaging, timely information sharing, and alignment with organizational goals., • Monitor and respond to messages and comments on social media in a professional, culturally responsive, and mission-aligned manner., • Stay informed about emerging digital tools, platforms, and nonprofit storytelling trends to continuously strengthen the organization’s digital presence., • Perform other related duties as assigned., • Health insurance, • Dental & Vision insurance, • Life insurance, • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • 403(b) Retirement Plan, • Generous PTO (Paid time off)- Accrue up to 21 days in Year 1, some PTO carryover allowable., • Employee Assistance Program, • Professional Development Opportunities, • Employment may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) The position is based in the second-floor office of our headquarters located at 3710 N. Kedzie Ave. This is an in-office role. The workspace is located within the office area of the President and CEO team. The office layout consists of standard office workstations and administrative areas equipped with desks, computers, phones, and typical office equipment. Access to the second floor requires the use of stairs; however, a lift is available to accommodate individuals who use wheelchairs. The workspace is designed as a professional office environment with standard ergonomic office furniture. Physical Demands This position requires a combination of sedentary and active work. The role involves regular sitting while working at a desk and computer, as well as standing and walking within the office. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift and carry materials and boxes for events, which may weigh more than 10 pounds. The position also requires driving and traveling to events and meetings outside of the office. This may include transporting materials between locations and moving between our office sites as needed. The role requires the ability to move throughout the office and event locations and to safely transport materials when necessary. Schedule: • Monday through Friday, • A valid driver’s license, • Access to a vehicle, • 3 years or more of proven experience managing websites and social media platforms for organizations, brands, or community-based/nonprofit entities., • Demonstrated experience in digital storytelling and content strategy for nonprofit organizations., • Strong understanding of social media trends, platform-specific best practices, and audience engagement strategies., • Excellent writing, editing, and digital communication skills., • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media management/analytics tools., • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (preferred)., • Bilingual required: English and Spanish (written and verbal)., • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally and attend in-person events.
