Apply now to join our Washington, DC healthcare team! • Location: Washington, DC 20010 (DC nursing jobs), • Setting: Neuro Trauma ICU | Comprehensive Stroke Center, • Employment Type: Locum Tenens | Travel Nursing Contract, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026), • Shift: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 07:00–19:00, Night: 18:30–07:30), • Hours per Week: 36, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1650–$1770, • Patient Ratio: 2:1, • Scrub Color: Ceil blue, • Flu Vaccine: Required (No exemptions), • Active DC RN license (pending status accepted with proof; must have license in hand prior to start), • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care nurse experience), • Travel nursing experience required, • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred), • Clinical skills: Conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, blood product administration, post-neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury care, • Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity, • Two supervisor references required, • Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro trauma ICU patients, including those with SAH, ICH, ischemic stroke, brain mass, and head trauma, • Operate and monitor specialized equipment: EVDs, Raumedic Bolt, Artic Sun, CVVH, lytic catheters, Flo-tracker, PA-catheter, • Perform conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management, • Administer blood products and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, radiology, rapid response), • Float to other ICUs/IMC as needed, • Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions GHR Healthcare Job ID #404259.
