Job Description MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF RECENT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN A MANUFACTURING OR ORDER FULFILLMENT ENVIRONMENT Connect Staffing is seeking a highly organized and bilingual (English/Spanish)Product DevelopmentProduction Manager to oversee and manage the daily process of product flow through development and production operations of promotional products and plush toy division. This is a high volume production floor, requiring seamless order flow from inbound import quality checks to final packing and shipping. This role is responsible for production planning, quality assurance, inventory control, vendor relations, team leadership, management and ensuring alignment with brand standards across multiple product lines. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with OT as required Requirements for Product DevelopmentProduction Manager: • Must have at least 3-5 years experience in Product Development and Production., • Must have 3-5 year staff management experience., • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred., • Proficiency in ERP and shipping software (e.g. Quick books, Ship Station, Cyn7 or similar)., • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)., • Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing or fulfillment environment., • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures., • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills., • Must have Softline/Plush experience Benefits of the Product Development Production Manager: • Health and dental benefits available, • CalSavers retirement program available, • Earn referral bonuses, • Opportunity for long-term growth and advancement Responsibilities of the Product Development Production Manager: Product Development • Collaborate with design and product development teams to establish line planning for incoming products and standards., • Help in finding suppliers, manufacturers, vendors for line products and packaging as needed., • Communicate with suppliers and help coordinate product development process and logistics with design team., • Track product development process from sample development to final production and assist in timely process., • Assist in costing and tracking vendor quotes along with quality for best vendor selection., • Ensure best possible options to secure quality products and processes. Production Management • Organize and optimize order workflow across multiple brands to ensure accurate ordering, picking, embellishment, packing, reviewing, and shipping., • Prioritize orders based on customer needs and communication with account managers and sales, adapting to fluctuating seasonal demands and deadlines., • Act as a liaison between sales, account managers, and the production floor, including warehouse, shipping, logistics, delivering timely updates on schedules and promptly addressing production issues., • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely product delivery while managing staff and equipment resources efficiently., • Quickly identify and resolve production or logistics issues to minimize disruptions and maintain efficiency of any tasks or processes in the workflow., • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes for greater efficiency, quality, and output. Embellishment Operations • Manage and continuously improve embellishment heat transfer, embroidery, and screen-printing processes., • Oversee embellishment team workflows across multiple products, decoration mediums, techniques, and brands., • Introduce and implement new decoration technologies, techniques, and equipment to expand product offerings., • Conduct spot quality checks on inbound shipments, verifying that materials and finished goods meet company standards., • Recommend materials, equipment, and suppliers to continuously improve quality and product presentation., • Ensure all embellishments meet branding guidelines and maintain quality excellence., • Review all outgoing shipments for accuracy, appropriate materials, branding, packaging, and labeling standards., • Ensure all product shipments meet and are aligned with client branding and marketing objectives when leaving the facility., • Assist in managing and tracking Product Testing processes for CPSC and Amazon requirements. Order Fulfillment • Implement and manage processes to meet each brand’s specific order-processing requirements., • Use ERP systems (Cyn7 and Ship Station preferred) to track and process orders accurately., • Ensure compliance with brand-specific fulfillment protocols. Inventory & Procurement Management • Manage inventory warehouse locations and logistics of product flow., • Ensure the physical and systems inventory are always accurate and in sync., • Oversee inventory levels of products, trims, (e.g., hang tags, labels) and warehouse supplies to ensure uninterrupted production., • Collaborate with accounting and procurement to manage purchases and deliveries, maintaining lead times and delivery schedules., • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective and quality purchasing., • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials and services. Equipment Maintenance & Management • Ensure the proper maintenance and operational readiness of production equipment (e.g., printers, heat press machines)., • Recommend and manage equipment to support efficient, profitable operations. Communication & Language • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and account managers in both English and Spanish. Team Leadership & Training • Manage, train, and develop production staff to optimize performance and flexibility., • Create org charts and work flow charts to provide teams and management department organizational flows., • Maintain a lean yet efficient team, balancing staffing needs for peak seasons and lulls while managing payroll budgets., • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address employee concerns., • Foster a positive work environment through conflict resolution and team engagement., • Implement and enforce SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all production processes., • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes for greater efficiency, quality, and output.
