Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Director of Web Engineering is responsible for executing the web technology roadmap and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and quality of Holley’s customer-facing web platforms. Reporting to the CIO, this role leads the Software Engineering and QA teams that develop, enhance, and support Holley’s websites and digital commerce experiences.This leader partners closely with Marketing and Division leadership to align on priorities, timelines, and digital initiatives. While collaboration is critical, the primary accountability of this role is delivery execution, platform uptime, engineering quality, and day-to-day technical leadership of the web engineering function.This is an execution-focused leadership role with direct responsibility for roadmap delivery, production stability, and team performance.Key ResponsibilitiesRoadmap Execution & Delivery • Own execution of the web development roadmap across brands and divisions., • Translate approved business priorities into structured sprint plans and delivery milestones., • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet defined acceptance criteria., • Manage cross-functional dependencies and technical risks., • Provide transparent delivery status to IT leadership, Marketing, and Divisions.Partnership with Marketing & Divisions, • Act as the primary web engineering partner for Marketing and Division stakeholders., • Support digital campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives with reliable execution., • Provide realistic technical estimates and sequencing guidance., • Balance competing priorities across brands while maintaining platform stability., • Ensure divisional requirements are implemented consistently within enterprise standards.Engineering Leadership & Team Development, • Lead and mentor Software Engineers and QA team members., • Provide daily technical guidance, remove blockers, and enforce execution discipline., • Establish coding standards, review processes, and quality benchmarks., • Drive accountability and continuous improvement within the team., • Conduct performance management and capability development.Platform Reliability & Operational Excellence, • Own uptime, availability, and performance of all web platforms., • Ensure monitoring, alerting, and structured incident response processes are in place., • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for production issues., • Improve release stability and deployment practices., • Maintain performance standards, including page speed and system responsiveness.Quality & Governance, • Oversee QA strategy, regression coverage, and release readiness., • Enforce structured SDLC practices including CI/CD and change management., • Reduce production defects through disciplined engineering controls., • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and enterprise governance standards.Qualifications, • Experience, • 8+ years in web or software engineering roles., • 3–5+ years leading engineering and QA teams., • Experience managing high-availability web platforms., • Demonstrated success delivering multi-brand or multi-division initiatives., • Leadership Profile, • Collaborative and partnership-driven leader who works effectively across Marketing, Divisions, and IT., • Builder of strong teams who develops talent, fosters accountability, and raises engineering standards., • Calm and decisive under pressure, providing stability during incidents and critical delivery moments., • Trusted change agent who brings structure, clarity, and measurable progress to complex challenges., • Focused on long-term team capability and sustainable performance., • Technical Background, • Experience with modern web platforms (Shopify, CMS, custom platforms)., • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, SDLC best practices, and production operations., • Understanding of web performance optimization and monitoring tools Why Holley Is a Great Place to Work At Holley, we’re more than a performance parts company—we’re a community of enthusiasts, innovators, and problem-solvers.
