Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves overseeing key accounting processes, including month-end closings, account reconciliations, and general ledger management, while contributing to special projects in construction and real estate development. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting., • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards., • Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial documentation., • Perform account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial records., • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies., • Provide support for special projects in construction and real estate development., • Assist with system upgrades, including transitioning from server-based to cloud-based platforms., • Serve as a backup resource to internal staff, offering relief and assistance as needed., • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during all accounting operations., • Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting., • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles., • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts., • Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures and resolving discrepancies., • Ability to contribute to projects in construction and real estate development., • Experience with system upgrades, particularly transitioning to cloud-based platforms, is a plus., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with various teams.
