Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, friendly, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations, coordinating patient treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring an excellent patient experience. Our practice serves PPO, HMO, Medical, and Private Pay patients, so the candidate must be comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Relations • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner, • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive patient experience, • Answer multi-line phones, return voicemails, and respond to patient inquiries, • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently, • Verify and enter PPO, HMO, and Medical insurance eligibility and benefits, • Present and explain treatment plans, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibilities, • Collect copayments, deductibles, and balances, • Offer and explain payment options and financing when needed, • Review diagnosed treatment with patients and assist them in scheduling recommended care, • Educate patients on the importance of dental treatment and preventive care, • Monitor unscheduled treatment and follow up to help patients complete recommended care, • Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in practice management software, • Verify patient demographic and insurance information, • Maintain organized front office workflow and daily schedule, • Communicate effectively with the clinical team and doctors regarding patient care, • Manage daily reports, patient check-out, and scheduling adjustments, • Ensure compliance with office policies and HIPAA regulations, • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, • Support overall office efficiency and assist team members when needed Qualifications • Previous dental front office experience preferred, • Knowledge of PPO, HMO, and Medical dental insurance, • Experience with treatment planning and financial coordination, • Strong communication and customer service skills, • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, • Familiarity with dental software -Open Dental, • Professional appearance and positive attitude Skills • Excellent organization and time management, • Strong attention to detail, • Insurance verification and billing knowledge, • Patient communication and sales confidence, • Problem-solving and teamwork Skills: • General Practice, • Bilingual, • Billing, • Claims/Appeals, • Consulting/Training, • Denti-Cal, • HMO, • Implants, • Insurance, • PPO, • Management Experience, • Treatment Planning, • Social Media, • Open Dental, • Spanish Compensation: • $25-$28/hour
