Job Description Harrison Gray Search has partnered with one of the most well-known insurance agencies in West Michigan, which is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager. This is a remote position, but you must currently be located in the state of Michigan. Responsibilities and Duties: • Address existing client needs, including billing, coverage questions, and policy cancellations., • Ensure clients have the right insurance coverage by reviewing policies and endorsements for accuracy., • Handle new business inquiries, educate potential clients, and issue quotes for new and renewal policies., • Manage bond-related issues and provide initial contact for new claims, including sending loss reports to carriers., • Enter, review, and follow up on marketing activities for new and renewal accounts., • Communicate with clients and carriers efficiently and courteously via phone, fax, and email., • Gather renewal information, evaluate underwriting issues, and collect data from insured clients., • Build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and within the agency., • Issue insurance certificates and create documents such as letters, proposals, and memos., • Document all activities, conversations, and coverage issues electronically., • Support other Account Managers as needed and manage mail distribution and responses., • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including the code of conduct and attendance requirements. Qualifications: • College degree or 2-3 years of experience in an agency setting., • Property and Casualty License required; CISR designation is a plus., • Stay updated with industry trends, new products, coverage, and technology to meet continuing education requirements., • Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, email, and data entry., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions., • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills., • Accurate with basic math, including decimals and fractions., • Good problem-solving and organizational abilities., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to interact well with a diverse group of people., • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision., • Experience in Commercial Insurance, Commercial Lines, Account Management, Underwriting, Brokerage, or related fields is advantageous. Location: • This position can accommodate candidates in a fully remote scenario who have a solid track record. The preference is Michigan.
