Operations Assistant Responsibilities: The below job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position. (30 min lunch, non-exempt employee, individual is eligible for overtime) Building Operations • Support Operations Manager in building management and vendor support with the following teams: custodial, schoolfoods, school safety and co-location partnership, • Oversee beautiful spaces expectations at the Middle School to ensure classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms and community spaces are visual and operational beautiful, • Execute on operations tickets, support calls and immediate teacher/SLT needs, • Oversee the maintenance of the staff room including organization, cleaning, inventory management and restocking., • Own, track and deliver all school-based packages to the appropriate recipient, • Ensure that all staff, student and family facing signage and documents are accurate, stocked, fresh and maintained, • Support the partnership w/ IKON regarding school/organization projects and service tickets for both campuses., • Fixed Asset Internal Tracker (FAIT), • Ensure that Launch’s FAIT is up to date, • Perform quarterly checks of all fixed assets, • Correctly noting and tagging assets for disposal, • Support Launch’s teacher facing computer system to ensure the fixed asset tracker is accurate and computers are cared for properly., • Oversee the programming of SchoolMessenger, Launch OU/email groups, SLACK, other communication/information channels., • Develop project plans related to technology, school implementation, and platform integration., • Collaborate with technology consultants to execute on high level technology projects, • Emails and Accounts, • Ensure that all staff are subscribed to the correct email groupings, • Ensure that student emails are updated and in the proper organizational unit, • Ensure that student and staff accounts are created for the following systems: Accelerated Reader, Star Assessment, i-Ready, and Hapara, • IT Hardware and Classroom Equipment, • Installation, monitoring, and maintenance related to:, • Staff and student laptops, • Networking infrastructure, • Student computer carts, • Classroom printers, elmos, projectors, • Multi-function copy machines, • School Technology Management, • Manage the inventory, collection, distribution, and placements for all school-based technology., • Ensure maintenance, repairs and updates/upgrades are performed on school tech monthly., • Ensure that all school tech is documented, tracked, and housed within the school., • Supporting staff/admin in their use of technology, systems, and equipment, • Respond to Launch Ops tickets to support teachers with tech and equipment needs, • Ensuring that staff and student devices are cared for in the proper way, • Communication through several different sources: memos, in-person trainings and guides, • Proactively training staff on proper use and care, • Ensure classrooms technology set meets Launch’s requirements (i.e. worker comp requirements), • Research and advise admin on best practices for Information Technology in education, • Student Information Systems, • Support with annual rollovers with respect to Launch’s student information systems - Alma, Edcite, School Messenger and Hapara, • Support the overall connection between systems, • Support the student process of transitions, arrival, lunch, and dismissal, • Check in and provide in class support to teachers as needed, • Support with attendance calls as needed, • Support the enrollment team during the months of March, April and May with lottery preparations, new parent phone calls, event support, enrollment documentation, • Attend select events to support with English/Spanish translation, • Collect and ensure that all student files are current and up-to-date. School-Wide Events (when applicable), • Supporting with operational and physical needs for school-wide events including but not limited to: pre-service, parent teacher conferences, new family night, back to school night, pack up plan, staff potlucks, • Support logistics for school-wide celebrations - both staff and students, • Attend select events to support with English/Spanish translation, • Support the Operations teams with a wide range of projects based on availability and other commitments, including but not limited to:, • School lunch forms, • Immunization compliance, • Accommodations/504, • NYC School Survey, • Student files, • Re-enrollment forms, • Support the Main Office with occasional coverage of the front desk and ensure the main office is a welcoming work environment, • Support with school mailings as needed, • Lead all whole school training/onboarding sessions related to operations projects., • Collaborate with department subjects and department teams to support any operational projects., • Support where needed to ensure optimal operational success in the building., • Support the onboarding process by ensuring that all staff have their ID’s, keys, and other start of year items., • Other duties as assigned (based on the needs of the school at specific times during the year) Powered by JazzHR cSd9369iX7
