Job Description SUMMARY: Premise is currently seeking an accomplished and strategic Sales Director to take charge of our sales efforts, spearheading profitable revenue growth initiatives. This position will devise and execute sales strategies, nurture enduring client relationships and develop new business. The Sales Director will be a player/coach, with primary responsibility for leading the sales department and ensuring consistent processes, while also maintaining select strategic accounts and participating in key customer engagements. The role will be divided between sales leadership, process refinement and strategy development (approximately 70%) and direct selling (approximately 30%). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Sales Strategy & Leadership: • Develop and execute sales plans that align with the Leadership Team's strategic vision., • Set sales targets and forecast sales revenue., • Identify and evaluate growth opportunities in new markets and develop and execute strategies for entering these new markets., • Build and execute integrated short-, mid-, and long-term sales plans to drive revenue, expand market share, and improve customer retention., • Standardize and improve project bidding, pricing, follow-up, proposal accuracy and completion timeliness., • Lead the estimating team, collaborating with the finance and operations departments to set pricing strategies, submit project bids and negotiate contracts., • Provide regular and accurate sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the senior leadership team., • Collaborate effectively with others on the senior leadership team to gain alignment on goals, strategies, processes, and key decisions., • Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and estimating team (5 FTE), fostering collaboration and a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement., • Ensure the team has the necessary skills, resources and standardized processes to meet the organization’s goals., • Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for measuring progress., • Recruit, attract, and onboard high-performing sales talent while nurturing a talent pipeline for future vacancies., • Optimize the CRM databases to ensure accurate and consistent tracking of the sales pipeline, opportunities and performance., • Maintain ownership of select strategic or complex accounts while supporting the team in other sales efforts., • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including electrical and telecommunication customers, developers, design firms, and/or other stakeholders., • Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing their inquiries, resolving any issues or concerns, and ensuring a positive overall experience., • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to promote products, expand the company’s network, and build relationships., • Stay updated on product knowledge and industry standards to effectively communicate the features and benefits of our electrical and telecommunications services. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 7+ years of sales leadership experience proven ability to lead teams, drive strategy, and manage CRM/pipeline processes in B2B technical sales, with a strong preference for experience in the following industries: industrial/commercial electrical, solar, electric utilities, wireless or infrastructure construction., • Strong leadership and management skills with a player/coach mentality, capable of inspiring and motivating sales teams while also delivering sales results for assigned markets., • Strategic thinker with a talent for developing and implementing innovative sales strategies., • Capable of selling to top management, including C-suite executives., • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and generating new business., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and work collaboratively with key internal partners., • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the value proposition of our services and close critical sales opportunities., • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage customer interactions and sales activities., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to overcome obstacles., • Ability to travel periodically (roughly 20%), with frequency varying seasonally based on business needs., • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required., • Strong understanding and knowledge of electrical and telecommunications systems, products, and services, preferred., • All employees must demonstrate the ability to promote and embody the Premise Core Values: Be Ready to Learn, Own the Result, Build Trust, Do the Right Thing, and Drive to Complete. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, walk, lift, talk, hear, see, reach, grasp and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
