Position Overview: MP Materials is seeking a hands-on Electrical Supervisor to lead the maintenance execution, troubleshooting, and reliability of electrical distribution, instrumentation, and controls systems across a high-tech magnet manufacturing facility. This role oversees Electricians and I&C Technicians and is responsible for driving safe work practices, technical standards, PM program development, and high-quality maintenance execution in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in industrial electrical systems, PLC hardware, instrumentation, and automation support, combined with the leadership ability to set expectations, build capabilities, and ensure consistent workmanship across the team. This Supervisor will play a critical role in improving equipment uptime, system reliability, and maintenance effectiveness across the site. Position Responsibilities: • Lead daily execution of electrical, instrumentation, and controls maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work., • Establish technical standards, troubleshooting methods, and workmanship expectations for all electrical and I&C job types., • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs for electrical, controls, and instrumentation assets., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems, MCCs, VFDs, PLC hardware, sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and gas detection systems., • Ensure accurate and complete work documentation in SAP, including PM updates, corrective actions, failure codes, and parts usage., • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and EHS to reduce downtime, improve system performance, and support equipment commissioning., • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA), technical reviews, and reliability improvement initiatives., • Maintain strict adherence to NFPA 70E, NEC, arc flash requirements, and MP safety standards., • Certified Industrial Electrician Program or equivalent experience., • 7+ years of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation experience., • 2+ years of leadership or senior-level maintenance experience., • Strong troubleshooting capability across electrical distribution, PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems., • Experience interpreting schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation., • Proficiency with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)., • Safety-first mindset., • Hands-on leadership style., • Strong technical judgment., • High ownership and accountability., • Effective communicator and collaborator.
