Note This role requires prior hands-on family law experience in a law firm setting and strong familiarity with New Jersey family court procedures. Job Description • Provide direct daily support to a Partner in the Family Law practice, • Manage calendars, deadlines, court dates, and scheduling with accuracy, • Draft, revise, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence, • Transcribe dictation and electronic recordings with precision, • Handle frequent document edits and revisions based on attorney feedback, • Coordinate e-filing and interact with court staff, experts, and opposing counsel, • Communicate professionally with clients regarding document requests and updates, • Maintain organized case files and track key deadlines, • Assist with billing support, including draft bills and collections tracking, • Provide administrative and overflow support to other attorneys as needed Qualifications • 3+ years of experience as a Family Law Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary, • Working knowledge of New Jersey family law procedures and court rules, • Advanced Microsoft Word skills, especially formatting and document revisions, • Strong organizational, time management, and proofreading abilities, • Professional communication skills and comfort working with sensitive matters, • Ability to handle a high volume of work with shifting priorities, • Willingness to work overtime when required Why You Will Love Working Here You will be part of a supportive, professional team that values collaboration, attention to detail, and mutual respect.
