    Business Development Manager – B2B AI & Machine Learning Services Company: UK-Based AI & Machine Learning Consultancy Location: Remote Candidate Priority: UK & Europe (other locations considered) Engagement Type: Independent Contractor About the Company We are a UK-registered consultancy delivering B2B AI and Machine Learning services, including AI-driven automation and digital transformation solutions for private and public-sector organisations. The company operates with an established delivery capability and an existing international client portfolio, working across multiple industries. Role Overview We are appointing one Business Development Manager to support client acquisition and commercial growth for our AI/ML services. Priority will be given to candidates based in the UK and/or Europe, although applicants from other locations will be considered. This role is structured as an independent contractor engagement and is suitable for an experienced B2B sales professional comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Identify and engage prospective B2B clients Conduct professional client-facing calls and virtual meetings Present AI/ML service offerings in a clear and commercially relevant manner Manage the commercial process from initial engagement to contract agreement Coordinate with internal leadership and technical teams Maintain accurate sales pipeline and reporting records Skills & Experience Required Demonstrable B2B sales or business development experience Strong communication skills and professional client-facing manner Commercial negotiation and deal-closing capability Ability to manage leads, opportunities, and follow-ups Self-motivated and able to work independently Compensation This role is remunerated on a performance-based commission structure. No fixed salary or guaranteed minimum remuneration is associated with this position. Commission is payable based on signed contracts and received client payments. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant from a practice background who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and contributing to the management and development of the company. You will support the day-to-day operations of the practice, supervise team members, and work closely with the Practice Manager and Director to ensure smooth workflow, quality client service, and continuous improvement of internal processes. Key Responsibilities: • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, • Preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations, • Supporting and reviewing the work of staff, providing guidance and training, • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact, • Assisting the Practice Manager and Director with workflow management, client onboarding, and process improvement, • Supporting business development activities and helping drive the company’s growth About You You will be a proactive, reliable, and professional accountant, confident in your technical ability and equally comfortable mentoring colleagues and liaising directly with clients.
