We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the supply chain processes, ensuring that logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong analytical skills and experience with various systems to facilitate effective communication and coordination across departments. There will be a requirement to be in the office at our Head Office in Crewe, a minimum of 3 days per week. Please note you must have the right to work in the UK as we do not offer any Visa sponsorship. About the Role Manage the Supply plans to ensure all orders (customer and supplier) are accurately and efficiently planned, communicated and delivered; ensuring minimal impact on availability and cost to serve. Responsibilities Supply Chain (3rd Party Service providers, raw material and packaging suppliers) • Lead the weekly supplier conference calls to ensure full visibility and adherence to the weekly plan, to ensure schedules meet customer requirements., • Co-ordination of Supplier’s delivery schedules. Agree and confirm delivery dates and communicate internally to enable accurate update of purchase orders and works orders in CELOX Medical systems., • Monitor progress against the schedule through frequent contact with suppliers, adjusting as necessary, according to priorities and constraints. Maintain close contact with Customer Services advising them of the situation and amend schedule as priorities change., • Ensure all documents, usage figures and certificates are issued and received as required to ensure compliance with BSI and CELOX Medical SOPs., • Primary contact for all warehousing activities, including and not limited to 3PL Contract Co-ordination: Performance Reporting versus SLA metrics, Systems and process adherence, improvements and efficiencies, identify Process or Cost improvement opportunities., • Arrange weekly calls and regular site visits to feedback on performance and forecasts, while maintaining close relationships with key collaborators. Inventory Control • Liaise with each Supplier/ Warehouse to ensure accurate management of Free Issued stock is achieved, including continuous improvements to be identified and implemented, • Attend physical stock counts with Finance at Suppliers warehouse, • Work with Finance and Suppliers/Warehouse to investigate any stock variances against Sage, • Liaise with Quality to manage re-work of damaged cases, requesting replacement cases from suppliers, labels and managing re-work process with Quality as well as arranging return / transport for re-worked items, • Request MRB meetings with Quality and ensure stock is quarantined on sage & at suppliers, • Review artworks, proofs and specifications as required for Change Control projects, • Coordinate material quarantine and disposal and arrange transport out of suppliers’ premises into QC hold location, • Coordinating stock disposals with finance and suppliers/warehouse Logistics (support / cover for Logistics requirements) • Transport Planning, • External - from RM suppliers: Schedule, Monitor, Record & maintain traceability, • Internal - between subcontractors – responsibilities as above, • Import – responsibilities as above, • Export – responsibilities as above, • Raise Purchase Orders for all freight charges, maintaining Trauma Transport database for future reconciliation, • Invoice review & verification, • Document and maintain procedures Education/Qualifications/Experience • Previous experience within a Regulated Industry i.e.: Pharma, Medical Devices, Food etc., • Minimum 2 years’ experience of Supply Chain or Logistics role(s), • Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, • Experienced with Sage 200, • Good understanding of WMS / Warehouse Operations, • Advanced MS Excel user Competencies/Personal Skills/Behaviours • Excellent communication & relationship building skills, • Ability to influence and engage with key internal & external stakeholders, • Effective time management and prioritisation skills, • Ability to make quick decisions based on good judgement and analysis of a situation, • Proficient in interpreting and manipulating complex data, • Meticulous attention to detail, • Self-motivated analytical thinker, • Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively, • Confident to take personal Initiative and work unsupervised
