Take ownership, build robust pipelines, and shape the future of insurance analytics. 🚀 The Opportunity A global leader in specialty insurance and warranty solutions, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their growing London-based data team. You’ll work on mission-critical data engineering projects they continue their global expansion—starting with integrating the European ledger into their Snowflake data warehouse to create a unified view of business performance across regions. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role, reporting directly to VP of Data based in the US, where you’ll collaborate closely with business, finance, and technology stakeholders across the US and Europe. 💬 Highlights • Not a micromanagement culture – full ownership of your work, • Opportunity to build and scale European data engineering from the ground up, • Work with global counterparts on mature US data architecture, • Tight-knit team with room to grow (US, India & UK), • Structured onboarding and support, not a “sink-or-swim” mentality 🧩 What You’ll Be Doing • Design and own robust, high-performance ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks, and DBT, • Ingest complex data sets from Europe’s specialty and warranty businesses, • Integrate Snowflake warehouse and automate financial/operational reports, • Support data product strategies and improve overall data quality and structure, • Collaborate with product managers and engineers on global data initiatives, • Define and document technical architectures and cloud-based solutions 📍 Location & Flexibility • 4 days in the London office, 1 day remote (hybrid structure) ✅ What You Bring Must-Haves: • 6+ years in data engineering, • Strong skills in Python, Databricks, and SQL, • Solid understanding of data transformation best practices (ETL/ELT) Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with DBT, • Background in insurance, financial services, or reporting-heavy environments Location: Central London- Full time onsite 💰 Compensation & Benefits • Base Salary: Approximately £100,000 depending on experience, • Bonus: 5–10% (based on personal and company performance), • Benefits: Competitive package including healthcare, paid leave, and more For a confidential and non-obligation call to learn more about this opportunity, please apply below or forward your resume to and we'll be happy to discuss this position in more detail.
