The IT Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of all technology-related hardware, software, and services. This role ensures that all IT purchases meet organizational needs, budget guidelines, and compliance standards. The specialist works closely with IT, Finance, and vendor partners to optimize cost efficiency, streamline purchasing processes, and maintain accurate inventory and licensing records. Key Responsibilities: • Procurement Management:, • Source, evaluate, and purchase IT equipment, software licenses, and related services., • Obtain and analyze vendor quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with specifications., • Manage purchase orders, contracts, renewals, and subscription agreements., • Vendor Relations:, • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers., • Negotiate terms, pricing, and service agreements to achieve favorable outcomes., • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or alternatives., • Inventory & Asset Management:, • Track and maintain records of IT hardware, software licenses, and warranties., • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure timely delivery, deployment, and decommissioning of equipment., • Ensure compliance with software licensing and support agreements., • Budget & Reporting:, • Support the development of annual IT budgets and forecasts., • Monitor spending to ensure adherence to approved budgets., • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activity, vendor performance, and cost savings., • Compliance & Process Improvement:, • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, data security, and audit requirements., • Develop and implement standardized procurement processes for IT acquisitions., • Stay updated on technology trends, market pricing, and procurement best practices. Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or related field., • Experience:, • 3–5 years of experience in IT procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management., • Experience with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Coupa)., • Skills:, • Strong negotiation and analytical skills., • Knowledge of IT hardware, software, and licensing models., • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
