We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Youth Mentors, focused on providing guidance and support to young individuals aged 13-18 in Luton. As a Youth Mentor, you will play a crucial role in mentoring students within schools, offering a supportive presence and acting as a positive role model. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people who are in need of guidance and someone to confide in. Responsibilities: Engage with students on a one-on-one basis or in small group settings to provide mentorship and support. Foster positive relationships with mentees, establishing trust and rapport. Assist students in setting and working towards personal and academic goals. Provide guidance and encouragement to navigate challenges and make positive choices. Act as a positive role model, demonstrating integrity, empathy, and respect. Listen actively and empathetically to mentees' concerns and provide appropriate guidance and advice. Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and progress made by mentees. Qualifications: Previous experience working with youth or in a mentoring is not essential as full training will be provided Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish trust with young people. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of mentees and the program. Commitment to positive youth development and fostering a supportive environment.
