We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially connected Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth in our commercial solar division. This is not an entry-level role ,we are specifically looking for someone who brings established relationships within the commercial solar PV sector and a proven track record of closing high-value deals. Key Responsibilities • Leverage Existing Industry Relationships : Use your network to identify and convert high-potential opportunities across sectors such as leisure, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial property., • Deliver Revenue Growth: Drive strategic expansion with an expectation of generating £1m+ in new business within the first year., • Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business., • Proposal & Strategy Development: Lead the creation of tailored proposals and sales strategies that align with client needs and business goals., • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction., • Industry Representation: Represent the company at relevant events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and credibility., • Proven experience in selling commercial solar PV solutions, with a deep understanding of the UK renewable energy market., • A strong existing network of industry contacts and decision-makers in relevant sectors., • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)., • Experience in a BDM role within the commercial solar PV sector., • Demonstrated success in closing large-scale solar deals and achieving/exceeding revenue targets., • Contract negotiation & proposal development, • Strategic sales planning & execution, • Lead generation & conversion, • Financial & business acumen, • Competitive salary + annual review, • Generous commission structure, • Car allowance, • Birthday off, • Life assurance (4x salary), • Enhanced parental leave, • Rewards platform with retail discounts, • 30 days holiday (rising to 33), • Company sick pay, • Pension scheme, • EV salary sacrifice scheme, • Health-Shield benefits, • 24/7 Employee Assistance Plan Calisen is proud to be a Real Living Wage and inclusive employer.
