The Learning and Development Manager plays a critical role in strengthening leadership capability, workforce skills, and operational performance across the organization. Position Summary Superior Rigging and Erecting is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Manager to design, build, and lead company-wide training and workforce development programs that directly support operational excellence, safety leadership, and leadership effectiveness. This role partners closely with Operations, Safety, Project Management, and Human Resources leadership to identify workforce capability gaps and develop practical training solutions that improve performance in both field and office environments. The Learning and Development Manager owns learning strategy, curriculum architecture, training delivery, learning systems administration, and the measurement of training effectiveness. The right candidate will bring strong instructional design expertise, operational credibility, and the ability to translate business needs into structured learning programs that scale with company growth. Key Responsibilities Learning Strategy and Workforce Development • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with operational goals, safety expectations, and leadership standards, • Translate business objectives, field realities, and performance gaps into structured and measurable training programs, • Establish company-wide learning standards, governance, and accountability, • Conduct ongoing training needs assessments through engagement with field leadership, project managers, and department leaders, • Observe field and office work practices to identify skill gaps, behavioral risks, and development opportunities, • Partner with leadership to prioritize training initiatives based on business need, operational risk, and workforce impact, • Design and develop leadership, technical, operational, and compliance training programs, • Create practical, field-relevant learning content including instructor-led courses, workshops, simulations, and job aids, • Ensure training content reflects adult learning principles and real-world operational application, • Facilitate training sessions for supervisors, managers, project managers, and operational leaders, • Lead workshops focused on leadership effectiveness, documentation discipline, performance management, communication, accountability, and safety leadership, • Coach internal leaders and subject matter experts to effectively deliver training content, • Administer and optimize training programs within Paylocity Learning and related systems, • Ensure training assignments, completion tracking, and reporting remain accurate and audit-ready, • Evaluate learning technologies and delivery methods that improve training accessibility and effectiveness, • Establish metrics to measure training effectiveness, knowledge transfer, and operational impact, • Analyze training data, participant feedback, and performance trends to evaluate program effectiveness, • Continuously improve training content based on operational outcomes and emerging workforce needs, • Design leadership development programs that prepare supervisors and managers for expanded responsibility, • Support succession planning by identifying development needs for critical operational roles, • Partner with Human Resources leadership to align learning programs with workforce planning and talent strategy, • Build development frameworks that strengthen internal promotion and long-term workforce capability Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, • Seven or more years of progressive experience in learning and development, workforce training, or organizational development, • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering leadership development and workforce training programs, • Strong working knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and facilitation best practices, • Experience administering learning management systems, preferably Paylocity Learning, • Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders at all organizational levels, • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k), • Paid time off and paid holidays, • Direct involvement in high-profile, technically challenging projects Superior Rigging and Erecting is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
