Key Responsibilities: • Strategic Operations Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to craft and execute a long-term operational strategy, aligning clinical, financial, and regulatory goals to drive growth in NYC’s competitive healthcare landscape, including potential expansion into new service lines or boroughs., • Operational Efficiency & Process Optimization: Oversee daily operations across clinical, administrative, and support functions, leveraging lean methodologies, advanced EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), and AI-driven analytics to cut costs by 10–20% while boosting patient throughput and satisfaction metrics in high-volume settings., • Team Building & Talent Management: Lead a diverse team of 200+ (including VPs of Operations, Clinical Services, and Supply Chain), recruiting top talent from NYC’s deep healthcare pool, fostering professional development, and building a collaborative, inclusive culture that reflects the city’s diversity., • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and NY state/federal regulations, proactively addressing risks like cybersecurity, supply chain challenges, and quality assurance in a highly scrutinized market., • Financial Oversight & Resource Allocation: Partner with the CFO to manage a $500M+ operating budget, optimizing capital investments, vendor contracts, and revenue cycle management to ensure profitability while funding innovation in a cost-sensitive urban healthcare environment., • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Act as a key liaison with board members, physicians, payers, and NYC community stakeholders, leading transformative initiatives like mergers, telehealth expansions, or population health programs with minimal disruption., • Innovation & Performance Metrics: Drive data-informed decisions using KPIs (e.g., readmission rates, operational ROI, employee engagement), harnessing predictive analytics to navigate trends like value-based care in NYC’s fast-evolving healthcare sector. Qualifications & Requirements: • Experience: 10+ years in healthcare operations, with 7–10 years in progressive leadership roles (e.g., VP/Director of Operations) within hospitals, health systems, ambulatory networks, or payers, ideally in high-pressure markets like New York City. Proven success managing multi-site or large-scale operations., • Education: Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) from an accredited institution; clinical background (e.g., RN, MD) a plus but not required., • Skills & Competencies:, • Deep expertise in healthcare operations, including revenue cycle, supply chain, and clinical workflow optimization., • Strong financial acumen with P&L responsibility; experience managing budgets and cost-control in complex urban settings., • Proven change agent with tools like Six Sigma, Lean, or Agile methodologies., • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders in NYC’s matrixed healthcare environment., • Proficiency in healthcare IT systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and emerging technologies (telehealth, AI/ML applications)., • Personal Attributes: Strategic yet hands-on leader; resilient under pressure; committed to ethical, patient-centered innovation.
