Job DescriptionDescription: Purpose The Research Technician plays a vital role in the research clinic by providing administrative and clinical support to the clinic staff Job Summary The Research Clinic Technician assists screening volunteers that are enrolled in our clinical studies by performing a variety of clinical procedures and administrative tasks. This position is one of the initial, positive contact points for participant encounters and significantly contributes to the workflow of the clinic. The Research Clinic Technician reports directly to the Clinic Manager. Responsibilities (Essential Functions) • Key Schedules appointments and maintains accurate electronic records of study visit information, • Maintains all equipment to ensure proper sanitization and inventory of all necessary clinic items, • Perform vital signs and ECGs, if needed, and other tasks assigned by nursing staff, • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality, • Assists Research Nurses with ensuring visit quality assurance, • Disinfects exam rooms following patient treatment to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, • Disinfects all equipment used by nursing staff and providers, • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock and placing orders, • Keeps exam rooms and clinic supplies stocked with adequate supplies, • Maintains instruments and logs requiring checks, • Performs routine screening tests such as vital signs, ECGs, height/weight, etc., • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred, • Medical terminology, preferred, • Minimum of one year of experience with taking vital signs, • Experience in customer service, telephone, and computers or equivalent training, • Microsoft Office proficiency, • Writing and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work effectively with a team, • Ability to manage small projects personally and work independently, • Memory to retain information and know where to research and seek answers, • Time management skills, • Ability to prioritize workload and remain flexible, • Organizational skills, • Detail oriented, • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving skill, • Self-motivated, • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel JCCT has provided exceptional customer service to clients, volunteers, and vendors for the last 20 years.
