Job Description Executive-level General Manager Cherokee Village Suburban Improvement District #1 – Cherokee Village, Arkansas Come live, work, and play in the Ozarks as the General Manager for a Suburban Improvement District that operates two golf courses, seven lakes, and multiple community amenities in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. Position overview The General Manager oversees all operations, finance, and administration of the District and reports to a five-member Board of Commissioners. This role leads a staff of approximately 40 and is responsible for delivering high-quality services to property owners and guests. • Full-time, on-site executive role, • Lead day-to-day operations for all District amenities, including golf, lakes, and related facilities, • Implement Board policies and procedures; provide regular operational and financial reports, • Develop and manage the annual budget; oversee banking, contracts, and financial controls, • Direct all HR functions, including hiring, performance review, discipline, and staff development, • Supervise and collaborate with department heads to ensure service quality and staff support, • Identify and drive operational efficiencies, cost savings, and long-term planning initiatives, • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Planning, or related field preferred, • Minimum five years of progressive executive-level management experience, • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with the public, employees, contractors, and Board members, • Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel and related platforms) and office procedures Email a letter of interest, resume or CV, list of awards/achievements (optional), and reference list (with full name, phone number, and email address) to: .
