Job Description Therapy & Learning Center, LLC is an outpatient occupational therapy private practice for children located in Towson, MD. We are currently seeking a friendly, highly-skilled and self-motivated full time front office receptionist to join our growing team of therapists in Towson. You will act as the ‘face’ of TLC and ensure visitors receive a heartwarming welcome. In this position, you will play a key role by performing various administrative and clerical tasks. You should be comfortable undertaking a variety of activities in the office, answering the phone, organizing documents, basic bookkeeping, scheduling, medical authorizations, basic computer skills including Excel and Word. Reliability and a strong work ethic combined with great communication skills are a must, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software, and procedures. Job requires working late afternoon/early evenings because we work with children after-school. We have a great team of therapists who all are knowledgeable of front desk procedures. We maintain a fun, team working approach with successful outcomes. Front Office Duties and Responsibilities: · Greet clients and set a positive office atmosphere · Answer the phone, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate offices. · Schedule patients and notify therapists · Complete records for sessions and billing · Acquire and track authorizations for insurance companies · Organize and maintain files and records, update when necessary · Create and maintain updated documents and spreadsheets · Operate office equipment, such as photocopier, printers, etc. · Organize bookkeeping and issue invoices/checks · Perform inventory of office supplies and order what is needed Front Office Requirements and Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent · Successful work experience in a medical front office setting or in another clerical position · Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles · Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment · Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office · Outstanding communication skills · Great organizational and multitasking abilities Nice to Have · Associate degree · Excellent typing skills Work Location:
