General Role Description The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the firm's strategic marketing plan in alignment with overall business goals. This role leads the firm's marketing and communications initiatives, oversees social media and digital presence, and identifies creative opportunities to promote the firm's services, expertise, and thought leadership. The Marketing Manager directs the preparation of high-quality and compliant responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for architects, clients, and government on-call opportunities. This position plays a critical role in supporting business development efforts and strengthening the firm's market presence. This role also brings a creative approach to branded materials and marketing initiatives that reflect and support the firm's culture and identity. The Marketing Manager collaborates with teams across the organization to effectively communicate the story of the firm-its work, values, and people. In addition, the Marketing Manager supports firm communications by coordinating project updates, overseeing award submissions, assisting with special event planning, and ensuring consistency with brand standards across all marketing materials. Responsibilities • Support business development efforts by creating customized marketing collateral and materials tailored to specific markets, geographic regions, project types, and targeted clients., • Research industry trends, emerging markets, and client needs to inform marketing strategies and business development initiatives., • Define and maintain the firm's visual identity, ensuring consistency across graphics, digital media, printed materials, and event collateral., • Oversee the development and management of branded materials that support the firm's culture and professional image., • Manage the project data pipeline from proposal through project close-out, ensuring accurate and complete project information is captured for marketing purposes., • Regularly engage with staff at all levels to understand current and upcoming projects, client relationships, processes, and technologies., • Create and maintain project profiles and coordinate the collection of project data, photography, and supporting materials., • Continuously evaluate and support effective use of Ajera and other internal systems for capturing project information relevant to marketing., • Provide strategic input on client proposals beyond technical project details, including messaging, positioning, and development of project profiles., • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and partners to support top-of-mind marketing strategies and strengthen relationships., • Develop recruiting and university outreach materials, including career fair collateral and internship program marketing., • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives, including employee appreciation events and culture-building activities., • Manage internal communications and guide a culture-focused approach to company meetings, operational announcements, and policy updates., • Lead the development and delivery of quarterly company updates and internal communications., • Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and DEI initiatives through content development and employee engagement., • Identify and coordinate award submissions, including service-specific and individual recognition opportunities., • Prepare and oversee award submission materials including written content, project descriptions, and supporting imagery., • Evaluate submission outcomes and identify opportunities to strengthen future applications., • Oversee the firm's owned media platforms including website strategy, blog content planning, and digital communications., • Manage website updates including portfolio content, project photography, brand messaging, and culture-related content., • Direct and coordinate videography and photography for marketing and branding initiatives., • Develop and execute social media strategy, including themes, messaging, and goals aligned with the firm's marketing plan., • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry publications., • Develop and submit content to publications to promote the firm's expertise, projects, and thought leadership., • Collaborate with clients and partners on long-form media content such as articles, white papers, and industry features., • Develop and train staff on consistent firm messaging for use in presentations, project discussions, and marketing materials., • Gather client references and feedback to support marketing efforts and strengthen client relationships., • Conduct ongoing analysis of competitors, market positioning, and industry trends to maintain a distinct and competitive brand voice., • Tailor marketing messaging and positioning for specific clients, industries, and project types., • Develop and maintain strong proposal boilerplate and qualifications language for use across pursuits., • Support proposal strategy and act as backup for proposal production when necessary., • Represent the firm through participation in marketing, client, and industry organizations and events., • Participate in professional associations and committees to build industry relationships and increase firm visibility., • Generate ideas for and assist with planning company events, client appreciation initiatives, and marketing-related gatherings., • Support company events including employee celebrations, CSR initiatives, and client engagement activities., • Represent the firm at partner events, conferences, and industry gatherings., • Provide marketing-related training and education to staff across the firm. • Bachelor's degree, • 5+ years professional experience in marketing, communications, and/or AEC industry preferred, • Experience planning, creating content, and managing social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram), • High level of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), • Strategic thinker, • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal team and external clients, • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and produce quality deliverables in a fast-paced work environment
