Job Description Our client is a successful, growing residential renovation firm based in Orange County, California. We are seeking a high-performing Residential Renovation Field Sales Consultant to drive top-line growth through new client acquisition and relationship management. In this field-based, independent contractor (1099) role, you will be the primary liaison for the full client journey—from initial consultation and needs assessment to closing contracts for high- end remodeling projects. Reporting to the Company Principal, the Residential Renovation Field Sales Consultant will partner closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. The ideal candidate possesses a modern design aesthetic, a background in residential construction or project management, and exceptional relationship-building skills. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who can secure target renovation projects exceeding $1M within 4–6 month timelines. This field role offers a both a competitive monthly retainer and high-yield commission compensation potential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Lead Generation & Pipeline Management • Develop a consistent pipeline using company-provided and self-generated leads (networking, referrals, partnerships)., • Conduct in-home consultations to measure, document, and assess project scope., • Present tailored design-build solutions and translate client needs into a project vision., • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle., • Internal Coordination: Bridge the gap between the client and operations to ensure scope alignment., • Change Orders: Execute scope adjustments, secure signatures, and maintain project momentum KEY RELATIONSHIPS / STAKEHOLDERS: • Company Principal, • Prospective and Existing Clients, • Internal Company Team Members, • External Partners and Suppliers POSITION LOCATION & RELOCATION ELIGIBILITY: This field-based independent contractor role will identify and develop new clients in Orange County, California. Local, qualified Orange County candidates will be given preference and priority. Qualified candidates willing to self-relocate to Orange County will also be considered. KEY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: • College degree in Real Estate, Construction, Architecture, Project Management, or closely related area. or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience., • 5+ years of successful residential real estate renovation sales experience with demonstrated success in sourcing, screening and acquiring prospective clients. Proven experience in in-home sales, remodeling, or construction required., • Excellent verbal, written, negotiation and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients, team members and management., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail). Proficient in tracking and analyzing data with Excel and various database, CRM software and utilizing tablets, and measuring tools., • Possesses a hunter mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven culture., • Ability to travel to client residences and job sites, climb ladders, and lift samples., • Key Competencies: adaptable, collaborative work style, customer-focused, multi-tasking ability, organized, proactive self-starter, problem-solver, professional maturity, problem-solver, results-focused, team-player., • Required to pass background, credit and social media checks and execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)., • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Company will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to field locations and residences in Orange County, California. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS INFORMATION: • This is a full-time independent contractor role and not an employee of the company. A 1099 will be issued at year-end for any compensation and commission earned. The contractor is responsible for all tax reporting and tax payment obligations., • Monthly retainer: $5,000 monthly, commensurate with qualifications and experience., • Commission: Based on annual sales volume (1% on sales up to $2M, 1.25% on $2M – $3M, 1.5% on $3M – $4M, 1.75% on $4M – $5M, 2% on $5M+)., • Perks include Flexible schedule, laptop, travel, mileage and mobile phone service reimbursement.
