Job Description Ellis Real Estate Services is a growing, multi-market property management company seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our Kansas City office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact, staying organized, and supporting a fast-paced team. You’ll handle phones, scheduling, data entry, and administrative support for leasing and operations—filling in where needed and helping keep daily workflows running smoothly as the company continues to grow. What You’ll Do Front Desk Phone Support • Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally, • Take detailed messages for leasing, maintenance, and management teams, • Greet visitors and provide a welcoming first impression, • Assist with email and inbox monitoring Leasing & Tenant Support • Schedule showings and appointments for the leasing team, • Coordinate key pick-ups, lockbox access, and leasing logistics, • Relay tenant and prospect messages accurately and promptly, • Provide basic information and route more complex issues appropriately Administrative & Data Entry • Perform accurate data entry and system updates, • Organize documents, scan files, and maintain records, • Support Kayla and the admin team with daily tasks and follow-ups, • Help track tasks and ensure items are completed on time Operations & Vendor Coordination • Call utility companies, towing companies, and vendors as needed, • Assist with account setup, information gathering, and issue resolution, • Fill in for team members when needed to keep operations running smoothly Receptionist / Administrative Assistant What We’re Looking For • Friendly, professional, and reliable, • Strong phone presence and communication skills, • Organized and detail-oriented, • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced office environment, • Willing to step in and help where needed, • Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), • Property management or AppFolio experience is a plus, but not required Why Work at Ellis Real Estate Services • $17–$22/hour, based on experience, • Growing, multi-market company with advancement opportunities, • Variety of responsibilities — no two days are the same, • Supportive team environment with hands-on leadership, • Clear opportunity to grow into admin, operations, or accounting roles, • Health care, dental, vision, 401kCompany DescriptionEllis Real Estate Services is a fast-growing, Kansas City–based property management and brokerage firm built on relationships, transparency, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.
