The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides information technology leadership and support to the Georgia Institute of Technology, working in partnership with academic and business units to meet the unique needs of a leading research university. OIT serves as the primary source of enterprise-wide information technology and telecommunications services in support of students, faculty, staff, and researchers. Atlanta, Georgia (In Person in the office) Developers design, develop, and maintain software applications, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. This role is crucial to the testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure application functionality and performance, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement. The ServiceNow Developer Senior serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, development, and support of enterprise ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities. This role partners closely with product owners, service managers, and other technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with institutional priorities. The position requires deep platform expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to mentor other developers while ensuring adherence to platform standards, governance, and best practices. Job Duty 1 - Liase with cross-functional teams to enhance project outcomes, share technical insights, and refine software development methodologies. Job Duty 2 - Develop and design custom software solutions to meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency. Job Duty 3 - Test and debug applications to ensure, quality readability, and optimal performance, perform code reviews, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize application efficiency. Job Duty 4 - Implement seamless Integrations of software applications with existing systems and external APIs (Application External Interface). Job Duty 5 - Provide ongoing maintenance and support for software applications, including troubleshooting and version updates. Job Duty 7 - Document software development lifecycles, code repositories, and system configurations. Duties & Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and enhancements across multiple environments Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions Maintain and enhance existing applications with a focus on stability, performance, and upgrade compatibility Review and approve development work to ensure adherence to platform standards and security requirements Support platform upgrades and resolve development-related issues introduced by new releases Contribute to platform documentation, architectural decisions, and operational runbooks Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing long-term corrective solutions Participate in change review and release governance processes Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience. Workspace & UI Configuration: Develop role-aware, task-focused user experiences using Configurable Workspace, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and UI Builder. Integration & Automation: Implement and support inbound and outbound integrations using Scripted REST APIs and IntegrationHub patterns where applicable. Platform Governance & Standards: Apply platform guardrails, naming conventions, access controls, and architectural best practices to ensure long-term platform health. Agile Delivery & Collaboration: Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and change review processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to mid-level developers and delegated developers, reviewing code and promoting consistent development standards. $90,979 - $121,000 depending on experience and preferred skills.
