Executive Sous Chef Location: Phoenix, AZ Overview We are seeking a skilled and driven Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations at a high-performing culinary establishment in Phoenix. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values consistency and quality, and is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including prep, service, and sanitation, • Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance and morale, • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to recipes and standards, • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budget targets, • Maintain compliance with local health and safety regulations, • Oversee scheduling and labor management to optimize efficiency, • Step in as acting Executive Chef when needed, • Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and specials, • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization at all times Qualifications • 3–5+ years of experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leadership role, • Strong leadership and team management skills, • Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards, • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, • Excellent communication and organizational skills, • Experience with inventory systems and cost control practices, • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred Preferred Experience • Experience in upscale, fine dining, or high-volume hospitality environments Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary (based on experience), • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Paid time off, • Opportunities for career growth and advancement, • Dining discounts or perks (if applicable)
