Job DescriptionThe Substitute Teacher at Montessori Kids Universe is a flexible and essential team member who provides support within a classroom on an as needed basis. This role helps maintain classroom consistency, ensures staff-to-child ratios are met, and promotes a smooth, nurturing, and safe learning environment throughout the school. The Substitute Teacher works collaboratively with Lead and Assistant Teachers to uphold Montessori principles and the schools commitment to high-quality early childhood education. This candidate must have a very flexible schedule.

Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Substitute Teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God. The teacher shall: • Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students, • Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment, • Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each individual student, • Supervise students in and out of the classroom, • For long-term substitutes: develop lesson plans and assignments consistent with the regular teacher’s past lesson plans and integrate biblical principles in the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities., • Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff, and administration. Job Description Summary Substitute teachers are responsible for assisting the regular teacher in managing the classroom environment at Christ Church School in the absence of the second regular classroom teacher.
