Job Description The role of the VisionNav AGV Technician is to report to the same customer site each day as scheduled 40 hours per week, proactively perform quality maintenance and repairs, communicate and follow-up with our customers, and overall to ensure the equipment remains in service. Technical aspects that involve the guidance system will require the AGV Technician to work and train with the Engineering Team for onsite resolution. The AGV Technician will not be responsible for calibrations and programming changes to the guidance system. The AGV Technician will assist in the remote resolution with issues involved concerning programming, software updates, and guidance system concerns. The AGV Technician will be responsible for doing everything possible to maintain equipment uptime to keep the equipment in service and will act as a liaison with the Engineering Team to ensure customer equipment uptime is achieved. New hires will be trained at our Corporate off in Duluth, GA. Once the training is completed, our Technicians will be deployed to their assigned Region on a scheduled route. Ongoing training and support will be provided as required. Role requirements Include but not limited to: · Embedded Technicians must agree to and possess the ability to: o Pass the company required Background Check o Pass the company required Pre-Employment Drug Screening o Pass the company required I-9 verification process · The Embedded Technician (40 Hours per week at the same customer site) position requires a minimum of 5 years as a forklift (electric preferred) technician without previous AGV Technician experience (2 years minimum) · Must provide own tools to perform the required maintenance and repairs involved · Specialized shop tools will be provided by the company · Great communication skills to include follow-up, proactive planning and maintenance practices · Possesses a “Can-Do” attitude with a positive and growth mindset · Self-Motivated, dependable, and punctual · Technology capable (laptop/tablet, apps, etc.) and willing to learn · Flexible and adaptable to seek out paths to resolve issues · Possesses high emotional intelligence, has a sense of urgency, can handle multiple tasks, organized, and capable of prioritizing · Must possess a continuous learning mindset with a culture building attitude • Work with other internal departments with a “Customer First” focus 1. Maintenance & Repairs · Perform PM’s per the company provided AGV PM Checklist (e.g., oil changes, multiple adjustments required, battery inspections, etc.) • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Electrical repairs would exclude programming involved with the guidance system. Bolt-on parts and calibrations would be performed by the Technician (training will be provided). An Engineer will work with the Technician from a programming standpoint where required, • Replace worn and faulty components (e.g., motors, brake assemblies, wheels and tires, etc.), • Maintain records of maintenance, service, and repairs performed, • Work with the Engineering Team to learn the Guidance System and under what conditions you will need to collaborate with Engineering to remotely perform programming pertaining to the Guidance System as required 2. Inspections • Conduct daily/weekly/Monthly AGV inspection checklist and safety checks per OSHA and/or VisionNav OEM guidelines, • Proactively identify potential issues before they lead to equipment failure. The quality of the PM is the foundation to drive out reactive repairs and issues for all stakeholders, • High Quality workmanship and work ethic with attention to detail ensures VisionNav equipment meet safety and operational standards 3. Electrical & Hydraulic Systems • Inspect and service electric componentry (wiring harnesses, connectors, etc.), batteries and connectors, amplifiers and controller connections, contactors, etc., • Test and repair hydraulic systems, hoses, pumps, fittings, etc., • Use diagnostic tools and software to ensure optimal performance 4. Tools & Equipment Use • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, • Safe work practices are adhered involved in all aspects, • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, etc. 5. Documentation & Compliance • Maintain accurate service logs and repair histories via the work order system, • Complete work orders and inspection checklists, • Post time and parts used daily via the work order system, • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and manufacturer safety standards are adhered to, • Punching in and out in accordance with company policy, • Completing all required company compliance objectives on time 6. Field Service (where applicable) • Travel to customer sites for scheduled and dispatched on-site service and repairs, • Communicate with your manager if anything changes to scheduled work, parts backorders, issues with the equipment, issues preventing us from keeping our customers supported, etc., • Adhere to customer safety compliance and work standards 7. Collaboration • It is the responsibility of the Technician to ensure they communicate with their associated team members to support our Customer’s needs and objectives. If clear and concise communication is not present, the Technician is to communicate the opportunities with their manager to gain alignment., • Work with all internal and external stakeholders for the desired optimal outcomes, • Work with other internal and external teams to ensure everyone is in alignment, • Great communication is expected and a key aspect of operating at a professional level 8. Continuous Learning • It is the responsibility of the Technician to ensure they are continuously learning the product and technology to stay up to date., • Continuous learning is a must in company development of technology and processes, safety compliance and technical training, • Attend scheduled VisionNav technical and safety training classes. Certification levels and Safety Compliance are conditions of employment! 9.
