Job Description Job Title: Outdoor Forklift Operator -1st Shift Job Description Join a dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and contribute to production and logistics operations. The role involves operating machinery and forklifts, maintaining production records, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities • Set up and operate machinery on the production line., • Stack pallets of bagged salt using a forklift., • Operate the bagging machine to fill and seal bags., • Shovel spilled salt outside as needed., • Load and unload flatbed trucks with a forklift., • Bag products efficiently., • Clean the work area daily., • Complete and report production paperwork accurately during and at the end of each shift., • Minimum of 3 years of experience with sit-down propane forklifts., • Proficiency in operating a forklift in outdoor and rough environments., • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment with an understanding of production metrics., • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions year-round., • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift., • Forklift certification is preferred., • Experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator is a plus. As a valued team member, you will enjoy benefits like a 0.25 cent raise and BCBS benefits with 80% covered by the company upon direct hire. You will also be eligible for a monthly bonus program, a 4% 401K match, and receive holiday, vacation, and sick pay after 90 days once hired directly. Work Environment The work environment is above ground, outside in the elements at the production site and shipping yard. Candidates will work in various weather conditions. The dress code includes jeans or shorts, a t-shirt with no offensive language or logos, and steel-toed boots or shoes. A uniform will be provided upon direct employment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
