Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description This entry-level warehouse role supports the production of trophies and plaques by accurately picking, packing, and organizing inventory based on detailed work orders. You will work on your feet throughout the shift, handle light to moderate lifting, and play a key part in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time during both regular and peak seasons. Responsibilities • Review and interpret work orders to identify item locations, quantities, and product details., • Locate products in the warehouse using a structured location system that includes aisle, section, and shelf numbers., • Count shelves from top to bottom to accurately identify the correct shelf for each item., • Match item numbers on work orders to item numbers on boxes to ensure accurate picking., • Pick the correct quantities of items, including calculating quantities when products are packaged in multi-packs (for example, selecting three packs of four magnets to fulfill an order of twelve)., • Use a pick order sheet to complete all order picking tasks without the use of RF scanners., • Occasionally use a company computer to look up product locations or review orders to be picked., • Handle a high volume of orders, especially during peak season, with the ability to pick up to 100 orders per day., • Remain on your feet for the entire shift while moving throughout the warehouse to complete picks., • Use ladders safely to access items stored on higher shelves when required., • Lift and carry items weighing approximately 15–30 pounds on a frequent and ongoing basis., • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all orders are picked accurately and completely., • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance to support daily warehouse operations., • Operate a walkie rider (walk rider) after proper training to access higher shelves and move through the warehouse., • Work comfortably at heights when using equipment that elevates you to reach upper shelving., • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with ladders, material handling equipment, and warehouse inventory., • Support general warehouse and production tasks as needed, such as organizing inventory and assisting with packing.Essential Skills, • Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift in a warehouse environment., • Basic warehouse or production experience, such as order picking, packing, or inventory handling., • Experience with manual order picking using printed pick sheets., • Ability to lift and carry 15–30 pounds on a frequent basis., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate item selection and quantity verification., • Reliable attendance and dependability in meeting scheduled work hours., • Comfort with working at heights when using ladders or elevated equipment., • Willingness to learn to operate a walkie rider after training., • Basic comfort using a computer to look up locations or review orders.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in warehouse production, order picking, packing, or inventory is helpful but not required for success., • Familiarity with general warehouse practices such as stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory., • Experience in environments that may use RF scanners is a plus, even though this role primarily uses pick sheets., • Ability to work efficiently during busy seasons and handle a high volume of orders., • Strong work ethic and a consistent, reliable approach to daily tasks.Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse that is comparable in size to a large retail store, such as a Burlington Coat Factory. You will spend the majority of your time on your feet, walking throughout the facility to pick orders and handle inventory. The environment involves frequent lifting of 15–30 pounds, regular use of ladders, and operation of a walkie rider after proper training, including working at heights to reach upper shelves. Work is performed using printed pick order sheets and occasional use of a computer to look up locations or orders. The pace can be fast, especially during peak seasons, and the setting is a typical active warehouse environment with open aisles, shelving, and ongoing production and fulfillment activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
