Job Description Job Title: Packer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Packer to ensure that packaging materials are properly utilized according to the production schedule, maintain quality control, and assist in the seamless movement of packaged products. Responsibilities • Ensure proper packaging material is available to match production schedule., • Inspect products for quality defects such as unwrapped items, loose wrappers, foreign objects, defective packaging, and ensure proper labeling and lot numbers., • Package products in cartons/cases according to specifications., • Communicate any packaging and product quality problems to the line leader and/or supervisor., • Stack fully packed and sealed cases on pallets following product specification layouts., • Wrap full pallets of products with stretch wrap and identify them with the correct production ticket., • Coordinate the movement of full pallets with the material handler., • Ensure the work area is clean and orderly at all times., • Attention to detail, • Initiative and a sense of urgency, • Versatility and flexibility, • Dexterity, • Ability to lift 35 lbs. repetitively, up to 50 lbs., • Quality consciousness, • Teamwork skills, • Hygiene orientation, • Experience with packing, palletizing, and material handling, • Skills in using pallet jacks and forklifts We offer a 2-2-3 schedule with opportunities for growth and eligibility for conversion after 90 days. Work Environment Work in an air-conditioned, clean, FDA-regulated facility where you will be on your feet all day. Personal items, food, and drinks are not allowed on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
