Job Description Do you want to help lead a Housekeeping Team that is ranked in the top 2% of the Holiday Inn Brand for cleanliness? We have high standards to meet for our guests in all areas of the hotel including cleanliness, customer service, condition of the property, and safety for everyone. We are currently looking for a great person to join our housekeeping team that will help lead us to succuss and is customer focused, detail oriented, and a team player. Essential job duties and responsibilities: 1. Has the ability to report to work on time., 2. Has the ability to follow instructions from supervisors., 3. Has the ability to interact with co-workers in a civil and businesslike manner., 4. Has the ability to understand and follow work guidelines and procedures., 5. Has the ability to accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive., 6. Has the ability to walk, stand, remain stationary for long periods of time; ability to walk up and down stairs, reach to heights of up to 72 inches, bend to floor, lift, push, pull when specific job duties require., 7. Is part of the hotel’s security team and is responsible for immediately reporting any potential safety or security hazards to immediate supervisor., 8. Supervises/assists in supervising housekeeping and laundry duties following directions given by the Lead Room Attendant., 9. Continually trains all room attendant staff in all their duties, including BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards, fire safety and security procedures. Also informs housekeeping staff of rules, regulations and Company policies and procedures., 10. Advises immediate supervisor of personnel problems and recommends appropriate disciplinary action., 11. Assists in evaluating employees on job performance., 12. Prepares daily cleaning schedule for room attendants., 13. Prepares room status report of guest rooms with the guest services representative., 14. Inspects all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel daily., 15. Inspects each guest room for bed bugs and other pests., 16. Reports any maintenance problems immediately to immediate supervisor and maintenance person., 17. Assures that room attendant staff is in compliance with dress code., 18. Does room attendant's and laundry person's duties as required (see Room Attendant and Laundry Job Descriptions). Other Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Cleans guest rooms as required (see Room Attendant Job Description)., 2. Strips linens as required (see Room Attendant Job Description)., 3. Assists with monthly inventory of all linens, guest room supplies, and cleaning supplies as directed., 4. Coordinates the ordering of necessary linens and supplies with Lead Room Attendant., 7. Performs any additional duties that, from time to time, may be assigned by Lead Room Attendant., 8. No employee can clock in for another. No employee can be clocked in who is not physically working.
