Overall Purpose of the Role To lead the execution of utility-scale PV & BESS projects across the UK, ensuring seamless integration of engineering, procurement, and construction activities within a fast-paced renewable energy environment. As a key member of the EPC delivery team, the Project Manager will be instrumental in translating strategic energy goals into operational success-delivering high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solar installations that contribute to the UK's net-zero ambitions. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, drive performance across multidisciplinary teams, and uphold the company's commitment to sustainability, safety, and innovation. Internal Stakeholders • Engineering & Design Teams - for technical planning, layout optimization, and system design., • Procurement & Supply Chain - to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services., • HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) - to uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance on-site., • Finance & Commercial Teams - for budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting., • Senior Leadership / Executive Team - for strategic alignment, project updates, and risk escalation. External Stakeholders • Clients / Project Owners - to manage expectations, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction., • Subcontractors & Suppliers - to coordinate execution, quality control, and delivery timelines., • Local Authorities & Planning Bodies - to secure permits and ensure regulatory compliance., • Grid Operators (e.g., National Grid) - to manage grid connection processes and timelines., • Landowners and Community Representatives - to maintain positive local engagement and resolve site-specific concerns. Key Responsibilities • Lead the full EPC lifecycle of utility-scale PV & BESS projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards., • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans., • Coordinate and motivate cross-functional internal teams and external contractors to meet project milestones and resolve issues proactively., • Ensure all project activities comply with UK planning regulations, environmental standards, and grid connection requirements., • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, enforce HSE protocols, and ensure quality assurance., • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction., • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with a focus on maintaining delivery momentum and minimizing disruptions., • Report on project performance, financial health, and key metrics to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in managing utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK or comparable markets, with a strong track record of successful delivery., • In-depth understanding of the EPC project lifecycle, including UK-specific permitting, grid connection, and construction standards., • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams., • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions under pressure., • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent documentation and reporting skills., • Legally authorized to work in the UK without restrictions., • Willingness and flexibility to travel to project sites across the UK as required.
