Group Support Engineer / Europe Travel Salary: DOE Type: Full-time / Permanent Location: UK or Ireland One of Europe’s leading food manufacturers is seeking a Group Support Engineer to provide leadership and coordination across its engineering function. Reporting to the Group Engineering Manager, you’ll collaborate with site leaders and cross-functional teams to drive improvements in reliability, safety, and efficiency. This is a high-impact role, giving you the opportunity to influence engineering standards, develop people, and deliver real results in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Core Duties: • Drive engineering excellence across multiple sites, focusing on People, Asset Care, Standards, and Cost Control., • Lead continuous improvement by setting and reviewing RCA and performance standards., • Standardise and strengthen SOPs, training, and 5S housekeeping across all departments., • Work with site leadership to address resource challenges and develop effective action plans., • Manage engineering budgets to optimise plant performance and cost efficiency., • Develop and implement succession and training plans to build high-performing teams., • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations at all times., • Reduce engineering risks by introducing robust contingency and reliability planning., • Oversee and deliver capital projects on time and within budget., • Support sustainability goals through energy efficiency and utility performance improvements., • Foster accountability, discipline, and strong team culture in line with company standards., • Ensure Site Engineering Managers are accountable for fixed assets, systems, budgets, teams, and contractor resources to support 24/7 operations., • Lead and motivate teams through strong leadership, fostering collaboration, maintaining discipline, and providing clear feedback on both departmental and individual performance.
