Audit Senior \n Location: Doncaster, United Kingdom \n Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (flexible arrangements available) \n Salary: £38,000 – £50,000 per annum \n Job Overview \n We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a dynamic audit team. The successful candidate will lead audit engagements, manage junior staff, and ensure high-quality delivery for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Plan, execute, and supervise audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements.\n, • Lead and mentor a team of auditors, providing guidance on technical issues, professional development, and effective work-allocation.\n, • Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, and audit programs tailored to each client’s business environment.\n, • Review and evaluate internal controls, financial statements, and supporting documentation to identify material misstatements.\n, • Communicate findings clearly to senior management and clients, preparing detailed audit reports and presenting recommendations for improvement.\n, • Maintain and enhance client relationships through proactive communication, timely delivery of services, and identification of cross-selling opportunities.\n, • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP) and regulatory updates (FRC, ICAEW).\n, • Assist in business development activities, including proposal preparation and participation in pitch meetings.\n\n Essential Qualifications \n\n • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).\n, • Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards, IFRS, and UK GAAP.\n, • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.\n, • Proficient in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, IDEA) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\n, • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.\n, • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.\n\n Desired Experience \n\n • Minimum 4–6 years of audit experience in a public practice environment, preferably with exposure to both SMEs and larger listed companies.\n, • Demonstrated experience leading audit teams and managing client relationships.\n, • Experience across a range of sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, retail, and technology is advantageous.\n, • Exposure to risk-based audit methodologies and internal control assessments.\n\n Salary & Benefits \n\n • Performance-based bonus scheme.\n, • Professional development support, including funding for qualifications and training.\n, • Pension scheme with employer contributions.\n, • Private medical insurance.\n, • Generous annual leave entitlement plus statutory holidays.\n, • Flexible working options and the possibility of remote work for part of the week.\n, • Company-sponsored social events and wellness programs.\n\n Application Process \n If you meet the above criteria and are ready to take the next step in your audit career, please submit your CV to Diane At Evelyn Talent Partners
