You will take pride in preparing great food, supporting a smooth service, and creating dishes that guests remember. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll be an important part of the kitchen team and play a key role in delivering the Locke dining experience every day. You’ll bring consistency, energy, and craftsmanship to the kitchen, helping create the kind of meals guests want to come back for. Duties as a Chef de Partie: Manages a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standard. Oversees daily stock control, and coordinates with other sections for smooth kitchen operations. Maintains cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Trains and supervises commis chefs and junior staff, providing guidance and ensuring professional development. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook high-quality dishes while following the brand’s recipes and standards. Menu Development Support the creation of new menu items and contribute to daily specials. Kitchen Organisation Keep the kitchen clean, always organised and running smoothly. Team Collaboration Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless operations. Food Safety & Hygiene Follow all food safety and hygiene standards consistently.     We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Head of Nursery for our warm, welcoming nursery. The role of Head of Nursery at Joint Colleges Nursery (JCN) offers an unusual opportunity to take a senior leadership role at a not-for-profit charitable trust which is run for the benefit of its children and members. The Head of Nursery is accountable to the Management Committee and responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the business. The Management Committee is predominantly made up of current parents, supporting the nursery and the Head with a range of expertise and experience. The Role As Head of Nursery, you will be responsible to the Management Committee for the overall leadership, performance, and development of the setting. You should nurture an inclusive and ‘family-like’ culture, whilst making operational, financial and administrative decisions to ensure the enduring success of the nursery setting. Key responsibilities include: ● Providing strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the nursery ● Ensuring full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements ● Leading, developing, and inspiring a team of early years practitioners ● Building strong relationships with parents, staff, and external stakeholders ● Managing occupancy, staffing, and financial performance in collaboration with the Management Committee As Head of Nursery you will, at times, be included in the child-staff ratio.     We’re working with a well-established fire and life safety provider that is looking to add an experienced Fire Service Engineer to its growing regional team. This is a mobile role covering the South East, with a focus on servicing, remedials, and light repairs across a range of fire safety systems in both commercial and residential environments. This position offers a high level of autonomy, where you will be trusted to manage your own workload while maintaining a professional presence on site. You will be responsible for carrying out servicing and remedial works in line with industry standards, as well as conducting detailed inspections and fault finding on existing systems. Alongside the technical aspects of the role, you will be expected to keep accurate records of all work completed, liaise effectively with clients and colleagues, and stay up to date with current regulations and technologies within the fire safety sector. The role also includes participation in an on-call rota, covering out-of-hours emergency call-outs. We’re looking for someone with proven experience as a Fire Service Engineer who takes pride in their work and has a strong eye for detail. You should be confident working both independently and as part of a wider team, with solid problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach. A willingness to travel across the South East is essential, along with a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK. Experience with commissioning fire alarm systems, security systems, or smoke ventilation would be advantageous but is not essential. In return, the company offers a competitive salary in the region of £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, along with a company vehicle and all necessary equipment.
