Site Engineering & Maintenance Manager Location: South of Belfast Salary: Competitive + Benefits Package We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join a well-established industrial processing business operating within a fast-paced, heavy plant environment. This is a site-level leadership role with full responsibility for engineering performance, maintenance strategy, and contractor management. The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of engineering standards and play a key role in improving plant reliability and operational efficiency. The Role You will take ownership of all engineering activity on site, with a strong focus on driving standards, improving maintenance practices, and ensuring compliance. Key responsibilities include: • Full responsibility for site engineering and maintenance performance, • Managing and coordinating external maintenance contractors, • Leading a small on-site engineering team, • Driving the transition from reactive to planned/preventative maintenance, • Ownership of permits, RAMS, and engineering compliance standards, • Ensuring adherence to HSE legislation and site procedures, • Supporting plant reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives, • Involvement in CAPEX projects, upgrades, and new equipment installation, • Monitoring maintenance performance, costs, and contractor effectiveness The Site The role supports a heavy industrial processing facility, involving equipment such as: • Shredders, conveyors, and mechanical handling systems, • Material separation and processing equipment, • Bulk handling and recycling-related plant This is a hands-on environment where engineering plays a critical role in maintaining operational performance. About You We are looking for a strong engineering leader who is comfortable taking ownership and driving standards on site.
