Youll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UKs number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. You'll work as part of a team undertaking highways repairs, ranging from potholes, patching, drainage, footways and general highway maintenance. You'll use technology(tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records. Driving operate plant and equipment wheretrained,necessary for the for the day to day tasks set. We'll ask you to take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge. Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives. Part of the role is to undertake winter and emergency maintenance out of hours activities on a standby rota. What youll bring Do you have a clean driving License? We are seeking a versatile and reliable Dispatch Operative with Forklift experience to join our logistics team. This dual role combines the coordination of dispatch operations with hands-on warehouse support, ensuring goods are scheduled, moved, and delivered safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Plan and schedule deliveries to meet customer deadlines Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate dispatch operations Prepare and check dispatch documentation (delivery notes, invoices, manifests) Track shipments and update systems with accurate information Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Stack and organize stock in designated areas Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues Assist with general warehouse duties when required Follow health, safety, and transport regulations at all times Ensure accurate handling of goods to prevent damage Qualifications Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred Valid forklift license (Counterbalance) Strong organizational and communication skills IT literacy (dispatch systems, spreadsheets, email) Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to handle manual tasks and operate machinery safely Working Conditions Fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Monday to Friday (Overtime available) TPBN1_UKTJ
