Were entering an exciting new chapter, rebuilding our kitchen team and refining our operation with a strong focus on structure, consistency, and quality. This role is an important part of that rebuild. The Opportunity Were looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. This is a great opportunity for a chef who wants to work in a quality-led environment, develop their leadership skills, and be part of a well-organised, professional kitchen. This role will suit a Sous Chef from a restaurant background who enjoys cooking at a high standard but is looking for more balanced hours and fewer late nights than a traditional restaurant role. Our opening hours are: Mon Weds: 8 am 4 pm Thurs Sat: 8 am 10 pm Sunday: 9:00 am 3 pm The Role As Sous Chef, youll be a key part of the kitchen leadership team, supporting daily service, prep, and organisation. Youll work closely with senior chefs to maintain standards, ensure consistency, and help create a positive and supportive kitchen culture. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food. Maintain standards of preparation, presentation, and cleanliness across all services. Assist with day-to-day kitchen organisation, prep planning, and service execution. Support stock control, ordering, and waste management. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are followed at all times. Lead sections confidently during service. Support and mentor junior kitchen team members. Step up to lead shifts when required. About You This role will suit a chef who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a structured, quality-focused kitchen. Youll bring: Experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous, or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up. A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and well-executed food. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. A calm and reliable approach during service. Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen standards.
