Senior LSA: Scale 4 - £26,402 per annum (actual gross salary). 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year As a Senior LSA in our SEND department, you will support the learning of individual students and small groups in class and oversee learning across specific activities under the guidance of a Teacher. You will also lead small group withdrawal interventions such as Catch-up literacy, Catch-up Numeracy, ELSA, Nurture or EBSA, developing schemes of learning and methods of assessment to demonstrate progress that meet the needs of students. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA): Scale 5 - HLTA £28,361 - must have HLTA qualification 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year As a HLTA in our SEND department you will work directly with students who have specific learning needs and/or who have high levels of anxiety about school and lessons. You will be a key worker to specific students and will liaise directly with the SENCO, the school's mental health lead and other professionals, attending any relevant meetings. You will also assist teachers in the planning, delivery and evaluation of whole class/small group activities across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 as required. LSA Scale 3 - £22,724 per annum (actual gross salary). 31 hours per week, 39 weeks per year As a LSA in our Learning support Team you could be working in our SEND team supporting students in mainstream or you could be supporting students with a designated special need in 'The Bridge' our local authority resourced provision. You will be involved in a combination of in-class, one-to-one and small group support across a range of subject areas. Part of your role would be to assist students with eating, dressing and hygiene to ensure their wellbeing, safeguarding and health and safety, whilst encouraging independence. About you: It is essential that you have good literacy and numeracy skills (Math's and English qualification to Level 2). Experience of working with students with a variety of special educational needs and those with an EHCP is desirable. For the Senior roles you will need to have experience of working with SEND students and those with an EHCP and be aware of best practice in teaching less able learners and those with specific learning needs. For the Senior roles experience or qualifications working in one or more of the following specialist areas: autism, dyslexia, EBSA, numeracy or literacy support programmes, is highly desirable.
