Please find more information below: Location: Walthamstow (E17) Start Date: ASAP (interviews to be held asap) Salary Range: Annual salary £28,000 - £33,000 depending on level of experience (Actual salary range is £25,823 - £30,642 depending on level of experience) Hours: 32.5 hours a week (term time only; 52 weeks with 35 days annual leave) Position: Games Design Tutor (This role is open to qualified and unqualified teachers) This provision supports learners who have a key interest within the creative industries, namely Gaming, Music, Drama and Media. The learners have variety of needs including social emotional and mental health difficulties, autism, comprehension delay, challenging behaviour, dyslexia, and additional learning difficulties. This role will be on a full-time basis and will commence immediately (during term time only!) Please find more information on the role below (successful candidates will be provided with the full job description): Essential Qualifications: • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2), • Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area Essential Qualities: • Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly., • Highly motivated and driven to succeed., • Outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework., • Solution-focused and able to respond to data trends., • Assertive and confident in learning environment management, • Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work., • Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels., • Excellent communication skills Desirable Skills • Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests. Key Tasks • Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests., • Promote safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding (CPOMS), • Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS, • Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets, • Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations., • Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners., • Complete learner one-to-one tutorials and individual learning plans on a bi-termly basis, • Facilitate the wide range of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year., • Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate, • Undertake in-house training to remain up to date with awarding body expectations., • Have a personality!, • Be confident with a strong background or have a key interest in the creative industries., • Have an interest in the creative industries such as drama, fashion, music, gaming, music production etc., • Have excellent timekeeping., • Ables to use own initiative., • Able to commit and be a reliable member of staff., • 100% attendance, • Great interest in making a difference., • Act as a great role model for the learners.
